Topic: Youtube app won't allow 1080.
I was pretty sure when I first installed it it worked in 1080. But now I've tried it with a bunch of 1080 vids and it'll only offer me to play it in 720.
1.0.5 is the version number.
Anyone have any ideas?

1080p works for me. SVPTube 1.0.5.

I think you try to view YouTube video that has not 1080p version saved at server
I believe I loaded the same video and it allows 720 but not 1080, it's not even on the list.
What's your sreen resolution? I bet it's less than fullhd
Noweol is right. SVPTube don't show resolutions that have bigger size than screen size. I tested it.
Ah, so I have two monitors, one is 7xx and the other is 1080. The 7xx is the default monitor. Is there anyway around this? I don't want to make the 1080 monitor my default monitor.
My colleague told me I am wrong. SVPTube don't filter resolution. This resolutions list comes from YouTube server.
Please check in your system when 1080p resolution will appear.
1. Make your 1080p monitor your default at a short time and exit/start again SVPTube.
2. Open your browser at 1080p when 7xx monitor is default.
1080 monitor is now default, still no 1080 option in svp youtube thingy.
I don't know how to open my browser at 1080...
I mean open browser at 1080p screen (drag to it), open any YouTube video in browser. After that open SVPTube and copy URL.
It's not about screen resolution. I believe it's some kind of Youtube bandwidth protection or whatever.
But Chainik, it did work fine for the few hours after installed it, then never again. MAG I tried everything you suggested but still 720 is all it gives me.
JT!
About bandwidth.
What results in Speedtest.net?
Same issue here since a couple of days, only 720p and lower available.
Guess YT changed something that caused this?
http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/3040099084
My connection.
Like Chainik said, it's not our connection. Doubt that my 150mbit isn't enough for 1080p streaming
But like i said, it only happened a few days ago, did they make any change in the code that we could circumvent?
Edit: as suspected, they most likely swapped format for 1080p, even youtube download programs are having issues now with 1080p MP4.
I'll try to dig deeper and see what comes up
Oh that sucks. Think this'll be something the devs can fix?
IDM still allows for 1080p video download on MP4.. So they didn't change format, but the link i presume..
I get this link with IDM:

And this with SVPtube:

Are the dev's usually quite quick with changes? Or is this something that's going to be stuck for some time?
I have honestly no idea, i just registered here because of this issue, saw no reason to do so otherwise before
So i guess this is going to be ignored?
This is link parameters compare. Green - identical, red - not identical.
So can there anything be done with SVPtube fetching the correct URL for the 1080p MP4 stream?
YT downloader HD updated their program:
What's new in the latest version:
Fixed: downloading of 1080p videos
Tho i cannot seem to fetch what link they are using
MAG79, what does that mean in layman's terms?
JT!
I don't know I just wrote links divided into parameters and did comparing. Now is turn of YouTube-gurus.
