I deleted them because my Notebook only supports a resolution of 1366x768
What do you think in this case?
Stick to one profile? And in the framerate portion, what do I set it to when creating a profile? 24?

ok Ill try those settings...
one concern regarding profiles and please tell me if im doing this wrong or right...
My notebook's naitve resolution is 1366*768 so I delete all the built in profiles, then create the following profiles:
1366*768 / Framerate: 24
1366*768 / Framerate: 25
1366*768 / Framerate: 29
1366*768 / Framerate: 30
Do I need all these profiles? or just one would do? the reason I did that is I thought if I dont put all the diff. types of framerates, then the SVP might orm ight not work....
Or can I just do with one profile....but I am confused when creating a new profile why you get to enter the framerate is it only for your knowledge to setup diff. profiles or does it do anything internally depending in what you enter in the framerate
I have SVP 3.1.1
And my system specs are:
Lenovo IdeaPad Y570-2349
• Intel Core i7 2670QM @ 2.20 / 3.10 GHz.
• 8 GB Hyundai DDR3 1333 MHz. RAM
• Kingston KC100 120GB SSD SATA-III + Toshiba THNSNB064GMCJ 64GB SSD SATA-II
• nVIDIA GeForce GT 555M 2GB DDR5 VRAM + Intel HD Graphics 3000
• 15.6' HD LED Screen (1366x768)
• Windows 7 Professional (x64)
But i am always using the nVIDIA GPU and not the Intel Graphics HD 3000
Additionally, I use LAV as my decoder and madVR ad my renderer
I see the explanation of the settings but have no idea what they mean, hence I made this thread
please advice
anyone??????????
ahh thanks a lot...now I get it. Might as well install it then
But tell me something.........
If I ONLY install Re-Clock without installing SVP...would I still get the 60 FPS smoothness or they are meant to be installed together?
When I asked before, someone told me it is not necessary to install it......
But what is the benefit of this? Why would one install it or not install it?
please explain
Thanks
I have a GT555M with 2 GB DDR5 VRAM
What are the best settings I can set to achieve the highest image quality / max smoothness?
SVP Shader: Leave as Standard or set to Complicated?
Motion Vectors Interpolation Mode: Leave as Bilnear or change to Trilinear?
Search Radius: Leave as default?
Motion Vectors Precision: what shall I set this to
Wide Search: What about this?
Artifacts masking: leave as disabled or Strongest or what?
Processing of scene images?
Please help me set each setting properly for my GPU?
I believe my GPU is not weak it's ok for this right?
Thank you
Did you install Re-Clock? I noticed that when I install Re-Clock everything looks like it is in fast forward....try uninstalling it and see if it makes a difference

It seems that my system is trying hard to drop the framerate every second to match my monitor's refresh rate....right?
Yes. Each monitor can show limited amount of frames per second. All extra frames are dropped.
It is unwanted job of your processor and video adapter that can lead to some problems with jerky motions or with synchronization to audio. So better to stick it toe the refresh rate of the monitor heh?
Yes.
I see, thanks for the info
DXVA decoding IS on GPU
Ohhh!! Thanks for that info! I am learning a lot of things on your forums and I love the quick responses I get here!
I guess it's a bad idea from what I read and please correct me if I'm wrong...It seems that my system is trying hard to drop the framerate every second to match my monitor's refresh rate....right? So better to stick it toe the refresh rate of the monitor heh?

Thanks!
This time I got it right! I set turn off 2 secs on seek and no more MPC shutdowns and I installed my own version of MPC!
Thanks a lot for this great support!
there's almost no performance difference in LAV/CUVID and LAV/DXVA2
Oh, I was always under the impression that a GPU can handle video decoding way better than a CPU can
Is it ok to only use LAV + CUVID since I have a GeForce 525M rather than using DVXA to get 60 FPS?
I want to only use my GPU and have 60 FPS framerate since I belive my GPU can handle this task
please correct me if I'm wrong

When I set the FPS to be 2x the original, I kept getting a message on the screen telling me that the FPS is higher than my monitor's refresh rate..
So is it bad to set the FPS higher than the refresh rate of my screen? (60 hz)?
Shall I stick to 24 > 60 FPS setting?

Ok im gonna give it another go now
I have restored an image using Acronis True Image prior to installing any codecs or media player..
2 questions:
1) Can I install my own latest version of MPC-HC or do I have to stick to the bundled version so the settings will be there? And if I can use my latest version of MPC which is: MPC-HC v1.6.2.4254 (x86) .... what is the right way to install this? Install MPC first then install SVP? or the other way round?
2) Do I need this Clock thing or shall I skip its installation?
Please guide me on the best way to install as Im new to SVP
This is on a clean Windows 7 64-bit installation with no other codecs or media players installed.
I installed SVP and the re-clock thingy during setup then I played some videos and the playback was very smooth
But when I tend to move the seekbar of MPC-HC to different parts of the movie, randomly MPC would just shut down and say it has encountered an error.
I have never had such an error before while using LAV + madVR only but it seems that the problem is there only with SVP
I hope this gets rectified soon as I really like SVP
