Generally no. Advanced user can use SVP core and any versions of components.
manually install latest: MPC-HC (already with LAV), FFDShow, madVR, ReClock, & AviSynth
Latest avisynth has not so good compatibility to SVP as original avisynth. You can get memory leaks error.
does default's config (using older version of the softwares mentioned) provide a more specific outcome?
Default config was tested many times on many systems and we can guarantee what it must work without errors.

Did you touch madVR settings? Then reset them to defaults.
NNEDI3 is not compatible to recent NVIDIA drivers. NVIDIA broke smth in it. Use NVidia 327.23 drivers (or older).
Look to your GPU load via GPU-Z.

I ran SVPmark and sent my results
Thank you. As you can see your system got 91.35 fps in "good" subtest and 68.87 fps in "high" subtest. So you system is powerfull enough to compute smoothness in real time. You just need to adjust player's / splitter's / decoder's / renderer's / monitor's settings to get flawless smooth playback of blu-rays.
I need more details to help you. Start from SVP Performance graphs window screenshot while bluray playback.

Optimal for what? You fill leak of quality or leak of performance?
Youtube service don't support 60 fps. Only 30 fps max supported. You can save SVP results but I don't know the way how to save madVR results. Maybe NVIDIA shadow play is good solution to you.

Yes. This problem can be solved. Choose another value of setting "Turn off on seek" in SVP tray menu. I recommend "Don't turn off". Crashes will stop but you can see interesting effect 'frames from the past' after seeking in first 1-2 seconds.
SVP + madVR is complicated to configure
Leave all settings at their defaults. I think it is good choice and not complicated.
blue-ray quality videos doesn't work well in MPC, even with SVP off, it lags, skips and gets off sync with the audio
What your PC configuration? I think it is just weak PC for bluray.
rename "mpc-hc.exe" to "mpc_hc.exe"
And rename folder MPC-HC to MPC_HC to get filter to work.

Difference between 24 and 60 more noticeable than between 60 and 120 Hz but I see it.
I have very fast 120 Hz display with strobe backlight named LightBoost. It gives me maxmum dynamic resolution and no motion blur.

480p and 1080p (and all other marked *) videos open slower than 360p and 720p because they have two streams.
In russian thread we found that high bandwidth of internet can solve problem of slow youtube video opening.
I have 50 Mbps and 2hours youtube video at 480p resolution opened for me in 6 seconds.
I use MPC-HC 1.7.3 with all internal filters enabled.
What internet bandwidth do you have?

На этом видео вместо почти 2 часов только минута 20 сек
в MPC-HC 1.7.3 со включёнными внутренними декодерами открывает (очень долго!) 11 мин 10 сек
У меня открылось сразу в 480p, длиной 1:58:05. Открывалось 6 секунд. Видимо, толщина канала интернет должна быть хорошей, чтобы открывалось целиком и недолго.
Плавность повышается, если включен SVP.

Try any renderer what can draw 120 fps intime.
They are:
- Overlay mixer,
- VMR9 renderless custom d3d fullscreen,
- EVR custom d3d fullscreen,
- Sync renderer d3d fullscreen,
- madVR windowed overlay / exclusive mode / disable desktop composition.
Check jitter absence by tearing line (Ctrl-Win-T).

Тогда останутся два формата 360p и 720p. Я других не видел (если рассматривать MP4). При отсутствии 720p, как правильно замечено, будет хвататься 360p (даже при наличии двух-потокового 480p). Такое решение устроит?
Вышеназванные два видео имеют такие варианты доступных разрешений:
У меня оба открылись в разрешении 480p (тем, что со звездочкой) без обрезки по длительности. Сколько указано на картинке, столько же было и в плеере. Может еще канал Internet имеет значение?

Две ссылки из того сообщения открывают видео длительностью 10:08 и 5:10 с первого раза.
MPC-HC 1.7.3, используется встроенный LAV, т.е. все галки включены на вкладке Вид - Настройки - Встроенные фильтры (и в левом списке, и в правом).
Пробуйте, думайте. Давайте вместе искать решение.

Youtube service does so. I don't know why.

Видео и звук в отдельных потоках. Такое не каждый плеер умеет играть. Если быть точным, то умеют такое играть только два плеера последних версий: MPC-HC и MPC-BE.

пробежался по ссылкам. SVPtube 1.1.5. MPC-HC 1.7.3. Все открылись с первого раза, полностью.
Скорее всего причина неполного видео - старый MPC-HC. Обновить до 1.7.3 (качать x86 версию).

Slow Motion and SVP. Suddenly it works. 
I use MPC-HC 1.7.3 and internal LAV filters as decoder. All modes with low playback speed are work to me with great smoothness: 0.50x, 0.25x, 0.13x.
Thank you to point me to that SloMo-in-RealTime method. Awesome! It is natural 'Easter egg' in SVP!!!

Thank you for feedback. 
1. 0.5x speed in MPC is non standard slow motion. SVP not supports that. You are the first who telling us about such method of slomo in player. We can improve SVP to make such slomo smoother.
2. Use 'Fill black bars only' instead of 'Full lighting'. Image size will remain as big as possible.
3. SVP compatible to many players (PotPlayer, another players /in russian/), but not with VLC.
