You still get the full resolution of the video. Increasing that setting just reduces the work requires to generate the extra frames. It is very important for low-res videos, but isn't as important for 1080p videos. Just as you can safely change it from half pixel to one pixel for 1080p videos without much impact on quality, you can change it from one pixel to two pixels for 4k videos and you shouldn't see much difference. This should allow you to watch 4k videos or even 8k videos with the same hardware. Then of course, if your hardware can handle it, you can increase quality settings.
At 4k and 8k, especially in 120fps, it is madVR that would struggle!
For SVP on 8k video, just increase the pixel size from half pixel to 2 pixels.
That chip contains a Radeon R7

Oh. I meant, an Intel integrated chipset
I do have an integrated chipset: dual-graphics Intel HD 4000 and Radeon HD 7670M. It works wonders.
Radeon or Geoforce
An integrated chipset will pretty much only handle SVP.
Yes. First, madVR requires a Radeon or AMD to run properly.
Second, you must manually tweak madVR's scaling algorithm settings. It might still work for you combined with SVP, but with low settings.
Your version takes 1.4MB instead of 1.1MB and it crashes on my computer (Intel i7 quadcore CPU)
The AVS version posted previous works. Memory usage about 1GB.
I have programmed a software that allows doing that with just a few clicks; the 1.1 version that has this re-encoding feature isn't released yet but will be soon.
To begin with, can mobile devices properly render 60fps?
Attached is my edited generate.js file. I'm not getting any error.
It does it before processing for the exact purpose of saving CPU. Look at the tooltip description over the setting.
With this build of AVS+, I'm getting 20 dropped frames per second while the CPU is running @ 17%
Not quite working yet!
Memory usage of 600MB is much better than 2.6 MT
SVP has an option "Decrease frame size" in profile settings. What else do you need?
Released last month? Sweet! I'll definitely give it a try
If anyone else wants to try it, instructions to make SVP work with AVS+ are in this thread

This started happening at some point, whereas it didn't before.
Why is ffdshow how running in Windows Media Player ActiveX control and within Firefox, while it didn't before?
Also, why is ffdshow running in WMP ActiveX control and not in Windows Media Player itself?
I tested a previous build of AVS+ MT that was buggy as hell on its basic features.
Looking forward to testing this new build when ready!
Chainik, are you saying there is already a newer build of AVS+ MT that actually works?
Now I've seen another weird place where it ran when it shouldn't. While hosting an online conference with http://mconf.org/, it tried to activate itself on the live cam video feed within the browser! If it was working properly, that wouldn't be much of an issue, but when it fails to initialize, it just screws up the application.
I'm currently using AVS+ for previews for better stability, and AVS2.6 MT for encoding for better performance. If you have AVS+ MT, then this will most likely beat 2.6 MT's performance!
You talked about doing a bridge between 2.5.8 and AviSynth+... so I'm curious how you would do such a bridge in x64!
Or perhaps you changed your mind and are now working towards a full-fledged AviSynth+ MT version?
The new AviSynth isn't yet functional? Will I be able to replace the 2.6 MT and + versions of AviSynth.dll with this new version when re-encoding videos to get better performance and better stability with the same quality?
When do you expect to get the new version of AviSynth2.8+ MT functional? And when do you expect to release the next version of SVP?
It might be a good idea to release the AviSynth.dll first so that we can test it.
Interesting. This was presented in 2010 and still hasn't been implemented. Has there been any progress since? I suppose they need time to properly implement the technology. Ideally, this would best be implemented at the DirectX level.
Do you think it would technically be possible for video games to implement motion interpolation to increase its framerate? On a 60hz display, it would be much easier for the graphic card to generate only 30fps and then generate 30 extra frames to make it fluid. And, those frames would be of higher quality than if trying to directly render 60fps. On 120hz displays it would make an even greater difference.
Do you think we'll see something like this in the future? Is it a technically feasible idea?
(I know, not with SVP, video games don't support AviSynth )
It was actually applying the modified setting for some videos only, and would keep causing crashes for other videos... probably some cache of some sort, but odd behavior.
After restarting SVP, it was all back to normal.
Great, it's working! Then SVP needs to be closed and re-opened for the changes to properly take effect.
Is that a settings file I would programmatically edit? Where is this file located?
