smooth formula is usual: 23.976*(5:2)=59.94
the resulting frequency in this case is 59.94 fps
I think in both cases it shows 23.976*(5:2)=59.94
I'll check again.

What said SVP in both cases about smooth formula and resulting frequency?
What do you mean?

So post this there
I did, http://forum.doom9.org/showpost.php?p=1 … ount=10558
I think nevcairiel is ignoring me
All LAV Nightly builds after Version: 0.50.1 – 2012/03/29 have constant stutters with SVP.
Just a heads up. See graph.
Going back to official version 0.50.1 from 2012/03/29 solves the stuttering problem.
After updating those dll's the framerate is stuck at 48fps even when 60fps is selected.
Edit: nm, I'm an idiot. forgot to also replace the SVPMgr.wsf
Now it's good.
Tested the fix, settings are saved now.
Works great. Thank you.
FDisk No problem with Russian btw
come to our side, young padavan, we have cookies
Mmmmm, tempting.
Quick fix of memory effect bug: SVP 3.1.1 LightingFix.zip
Exit SVP Manager, unpack and replace files in SVP folder, start SVP Manager.FDisk
Try it. I think the bug must be completely fixed.can you point me to the location where the Profile #1 for example is saved?
If you talk about "Type 1" Lighting then see SVPMgr.config file.Borderlight;Подсветка краев
-None;Выключена;default
-4:16:300:4;Тип 1
-8:16:200:2;Тип 2
-8:8:300:1;Тип 3
-32:300:300:1;Тип 4You can change red captions and green values. Also you can add new lines with new values and captions.
Do not surprised the strings in Russian. You can write in English. It is example of SVP Manager tray menu customization
Awesome! Thank you. Will try after work.
No problem with Russian btw. I was born there. Lived in USSR for 10 years
Meanwhile can you point me to the location where the Profile #1 for example is saved? I think when one of the profiles selected the settings do stick.
Maybe I can replace the numbers to the ones I want to stick.
Thanks

I think I found the problem... You are right. There are some strange "memory effect" of Black bars lighting.
We will fix it.Thanks for bug report.
Awesome! Thank you.
FDisk
1. Open a movie.
2. Move all the bars to the left and click Apply. [This should make all lights disappear, right?]
3. Now close the movie.
4. Now open the movie again.
The lights are back. It shows some other preset, not the custom preset. It shows my custom preset to me.
[1, 2, 10, 10] in this case.
Check it again. If problem occurs then I need to know details about your system and user rights.
Hmm, strange. I'll test again when I get home. Maybe it's time for me to restart my system
Edit:
The Custom window shows you the same preset, this is true for me also. But does the movie use that preset after you close and reopen it?
FDisk
Custom settings are not saved
Press Apply button to save.It works.
Of course I press Apply. It does apply the settings for movie currently playing. It even applies settings in real time, but it does not save them the next time you open a movie.
Test it like this.
1. Open a movie.
2. Move all the bars to the left and click Apply. [This should make all lights disappear, right?]
3. Now close the movie.
4. Now open the movie again.
The lights are back. It shows some other preset, not the custom preset. To bring custom preset you have to open the custom window again, only then it applies the setting you set last time.
Custom settings are not saved after you close and open a movie or rewind / forward the movie.
I think [4, 2, 100, 10] settings look the closest to the real ambilight TV's. There is just no way to save those settings.
I also had sync problems with some files when using the LAV Audio Filter. Specially after jumping forward or backward in playback.
So I switched back to good old AC3 Filter. No more sync problems.

It can be if "bandwidth" of your video is more then profile "bandwidth". It is normal.
banwidth = width * height * framerate
I understand now. Thanks.

Found some translation you missed
Thank you. You are right. This option was changed in last moment and we missed it translation. Here file with full translation: English.zip
Unpack and replace English file in SVP 3.1\Language folderThere are too many bugs. I think soon will be new SVP bug fix release
Thanks
Yea the memory leak got horrible after a couple of hours. You rellay should update the release version. Most people don't know about all the fixes you post here.
Also found something strange. Movies with 1280x720 resolution for some reason load the 1920x800 profile.
Frames Interpolation Mode: Uniform
Artifact Masking: Disable
Should give you maximum smoothness, but may give you some artifacts.
If you ask me it's best to leave the Frames Interpolation Mode at Adaptive.
Third Fix (I think the last): SVPMgr_3.1_MemoryLeaks_HotFix3.zip
Unpack and replace SVPMgr.exe in SVP 3.1 folderaloola, FDisk
Please check memory leaks on your systems and take a look to English phrases. Translation algorithm of SVP interface was changed a bit. It need to be tested.
Everything looks fixed now. Works perfect.
Found some translation you missed. See screenshot.
Second Fix: SVPMgr_3.1_MemoryLeaks_HotFix2.zip
Unpack and replace SVPMgr.exe in SVP 3.1 folderIt is quick fix for avoid the problem but not Final fix.
Now used memory is stable when SVP is not active (waiting for ffdShow, on pause) or on playing.
But memory leaks are still able when using SVP-interface.
Thanks, not so bad now.
Wow, hah. I see this to. Ate up to 1GB of RAM and then crashed when I tried to close it.
Thanks for a quick fix.
Edit: is this fix already included in the full 3.1 download?
Edit2: Umm, I don't think the fix fixed it. It was holding around 15mb but after 10 min it started climbing non stop. Already at 91MB as of now and climbing.
Options marked "default" in UI is the best choice in most cases but their could be really heavy, especially for 1080p.
So SVP installer makes a quick assessment of the hardware speed and chooses one of predefined profiles sets - from "level 1" (minimum system like Core2Duo 2 GHz) to "level 5" (i7-2600 and above).
You can always change default profiles set with "Reset profiles" start menu item.
Thanks, didn't know about that start menu item.
Looks like Level 5 works smooth on my i5 750 @3.66GHz with OpenCL and DXVA even with 1080P MKV's. So i'l stick to that.
I don't know if it's intentional or not but if you reset all settings to default, some options are still not set to the ones that marked (Default).
So what is the real default here? Should I select all the options marked (Default) manually if I want default settings?
But I'm so confused now what all the new options do. It took me a while to understand the old ones.
Anyway, looks like even when everything is set to default the quality is really amazing. Looks like that Adaptive thing is doing the job really well.
Thank you all. I love it!

Круто, на AMD 5670 работает.
Буду в мануалы добавлять
Нет необходимости в тестовой версии. Версия 0.45 - 2012/01/28 прекрасно работает с MPC-HC и DXVA2

better set "Search Radius" to "2 pixels"?Larger radius - more motion can be founded.
BTW, some discussion on doom9.org.
Great, thanks for the info teapot
