AFAIK app running as admin just can't register itself to run at startup.
Running SVP as admin is NOT a correct way to use it.

do not run SVP as admin
If I don't run SVP as Admin and MP-HC as admin, when I launch a video, it doesn't do anything as if SVP was no there
I've enabled the load on startup option but it doesn't startup automatically
I think the reason is because I went to compatibility, change settings for all users, then selected always run as administrator
the problem is, I have to do this otherwise SVP won't work properly
so what's the solution?
even while clocking my CPU @ 2.0 GHz from the default 4.2 GHz the same issue happened. It might be Windows Defender, lemme try again by disabling it.
oops, happened again during another reinstall and this was not on RAID. I have a very small overclock, let me tinker around a bit and even try stock CPU clocks to see if that makes a difference.
I just formatted again, and it worked. It seems there was an issue with my RAID 0 setup of my two Samsung 950 PRO so I setup Windows as a single drive.

Just formatted my laptop and installed Windows 10 x64. I have even disabled Windows Defender but still get these errors while installing:

Use avisynth 2.6
This is a clean install of Windows 10 x64 so obviously when I installed SVP today, it installed the latest components which included Avisynth 2.6 and the issue still happened.
any other suggestion?
I am very disappointed that this issue is still not fix, seeking quickly between diff. parts of a movie causes the player to crash, not only that, but the crash is so bad that I get a black screen and nothing responds like I can pull up the task manager to kill MPC-HC but I can't see anything since everything is black so I am forced to do a hard shut down

thanks for the fast reply, last question, how do I get LAV to work with it? even though I have it installed, I don't see it as one of the options I can choose from Video (under Directshow)
and I would appreciate if there is a button to set file associations so I can quickly associate it with all video files
Just experienced a small bug, when putting it in full screen mode, I can still see my taskbar. If I right click on the video, the taskbar goes away but then I have the right click context menu if I click anywhere in the video the context menu goes away but I'm back with having my taskbar visible and the screen flickers a lot when switching between Windowed and full screen mode
Thanks a lot for the settings, one question though about setup, so I just install MPDN the 32 bit version right? then add LAV + ffdshowrawvideofilter + madVR?
Also, why isn't there an installer and just a portable version?
Finally, the options seem different than MPC-HC, how do I make it work with madVR ?
I didn't see any guide that walks me through the options of MPDN, like what's the best LUMA Upscaler to choose? Chroma? No clue about them

I never saw these before and never installed them. What are they for? do I need them?

How can I save my SVP Settings to import them again when I reinstall Windows?
