Correct me if I'm wrong, but I noticed SVP still interpolates frames before feeding them to MadVR... which is usually better than getting SVP to interpolate upscaled frames, I suppose. However, I remember seeing madshi on the forums awhile back, and was wondering if there are any plans to further integrate SVP and MadVR somehow? I don't expect ya'll to feed motion vector data to MadVR, but some computers (like my Xeon/Quadro 600 workstation, or laptops with weak IGPs) could benefit from an option that lets SVP interpolate MadVR's upscaled frames, shifting more of the load to the CPU and freeing up resources for MadVR's extra effects.
They're in contact so I'm sure they're aware of the pros and cons. It would be nice to hear the official status no this issue though.

I just got the pro version, there are plenty of customization settings, a few removed and a few added. Here, I'll screenshot it for you.
Don't mind my custom high contrast theme, nothing works 100% with Windows High Contrast. (Not even windows!)
It can be a little tricky getting it to switch profiles, but otherwise it's amazingly streamlined. It just works which is not something I could say about SVP 3 let me tell you. No more god damn "waiting for ffdshow video" or dicking around with avisynth. It measures performance very accurately and sets high settings that don't drop frames. CPU and GPU usage is reduced VS before by 15-25% in some cases, yet quality is up! There is none of that judder like there used to be in some scenes.
I'm impressed.
I'll answer, dev's probably have their hands full right about now! There's no import profile but they can coexist, SVP installs in a separate directory from SVP 4, it's like an entirely different program. I even had them running at the same time which is not supposed to happen... (or at least it wasn't before).
In the email I received which you literally just read as well it says this:

I got my key a little while ago. I'd imagine they're sending out links with a short delay inbetween over a few hours to space out the load on the server. If you don't have it tomorrow and it's not in spam then post back, it could be an unknown issue that needs resolving.

Reduce the other values even further and you can extend your overclock. I can get to 120, but it looks washed out and there is some seriously massive image retention. The difference is minimal. Chainik, although I am not a programmer, I am know there is a way for programs to have these permissions by default, so as not to cause this exact issue.

Would it be possible for SVP to auto-select the best settings in real-time? You can detect if the CPU is under-utilized or if there are dropped frames, and you could tweak the settings automatically without the user seeing anything. But such a feature would be hazardous in an early beta.
I had the same idea!!! Upon getting dropped frames at "Optimal settings" I lowered them to -10% and thought everything was good, but then a flashy fast moving scene came on and I started getting dropped frames again, so I had to lower to -20%. However getting dropped frames even for 1 second is really annoying, so a proactive approach is preferable. You'd want to ramp up settings or have a test video that gets harder until you detected dropped frames, then consider that the load threshhold to never cross with any settings or at any time in the video! 
I tried to install again and it worked.
Conclusion: SVP Manager must be closed BEFORE INSTALLING, not just before running.
Please change your language in the instructions to reflect this
OLD: "Exit SVP 3 Manager before running SVP 4 Manager as they can't be running simultaneously."
NEW: "Exit SVP 3 Manager before INSTALLING SVP 4 Manager as they can't be running simultaneously."
Hitting ignore just pops up a similar error with a slightly different DLL file.
SVP Manager 3.1.7 was closed.

SVP does not currently support official Windows High Contrast themes.
It is easy to fix though, just make sure your fonts obey system themes.

I need this to change SVP's settings. Switching to the "brighter than the sun yellow" theme that is default with Windows 8.1 is extremely painful. I literally cannot keep my eyes open while looking at it even with sunglasses on. It gives me a massive headache and makes my eyes hurt in just a few seconds. It's really an accessibility issue really.

This time I uninstalled 3.1.7 and reinstalled 3.1.6 (with official hotfix) to test the difference, but I couldn't because I got this error.

40% load is windowed. NOTHING else running but a few tabs in chrome, no other variables. Not as much variation as I'd hoped actually...
I don't use MPC-HC though.
I just replaced the 300kb avisynth.dll with the 1112kb version in C:\Program Files (x86)\SVP\Resources\Avisynth

Ahh that explains it.
I use MPC-BE and I put it in the folder with the mpc-be.exe. There was no avisynth.dll in that folder though, there was only on in the MPC-HC in the SVP folder (which I did not want to install but it installed anyway).
How do I know it's using it? What sort of difference should I be seeing? Everything seems the same, I don't think it's using it.
EDIT: I replaced the one in SVP/resources/avisynth and GPU usage is down 1-2%, memory usage us down 20mb and CPU usage is up 4% but much more even. Should've bundled it man!!
Just for clarification I'm using the one you suggested x86 1112kb.

Impossible! Overclocking does not create any extra heat. That is pure bullcrap. Your monitor would have done this one way or another.
I suggest you open it up and put a heatsink on the hot part. Problem solved. This also increases overclock potential on most things.
So there will be a 3.1.7 some time in the near future? Don't worry about impressing people with a massive update. I'm sure they will be beyond thrilled with a VLC plugin, new UI and less artifacts! Give us the speed now!
Will SVP4 TP be only for $100 tier donators or will they get preview builds much earlier? I'm thinking about donating $100 but I want to be sure that I'm actually going to get some decent preview builds ahead of schedule.
As you can see I'm dying for a new version of any kind. 1440p 96Hz with madVR is not easy at all.
If you're going to rewite wouldn't it be good to drop avisynth and ffdshow completly?
