so the guide on the 1st page isn't complete? I realise it has changed since I last saw it, plus you included reclock.. so is it advisable to follow this guide or not? count me as a newbie...

yo.. ye thanks...  I used it in the end. I realized sometimes with (not sure its exclusively with 3d vision) but if I play a 3d movie with svp enabled,,, SVP sometimes doesn't recognize it as 3d (I have to select it by right clicking the tray icon and selecting the correct 3d layout)... if I don't do this... it performs slow.. once selected... its smooth as butter.

I think there is a problem with your installation guide.

You do not mention when to install SVP core.?? you mention everything else.

Also,, for 3D (I know its different subject).. but is it necessary to install LAV filters? or is this optional? because its not in your download section,, but it tells to install it in your instructions.

But i got svp working with pot player. Would it be better if i install the older version? or useless? I just want to try get the best image now. (framerate is smooth as butter now)

I want to somehow try and get the picture to be nearly as good as powerdvd. Will madvr improver image quality?

Reason i may install madvr = some of my 720p material/films are a bit blocky or somthing. Im hoping madvr will improve the quality (i use a projector. Its fine for a small screen but not projector. 1080 is good). Or maybe i try the older pot player first before messing with madvr. (but i think i have the sufficient hardware i7 2600k " 4.5ghz and gtx 670)

can anyone possibly help me figure out why i cant chosse Built in self dxva decoder in pot player? (top left of potplayer)

I have the latest version of potplayer. Latest version of nvidia driver. (to date). Removed all codecs before using the guide. installed as per guide.

I just cannot change this option. (I have a nvidia gtx 670 otherwise working fine)

Also.. if i try to sharpen in ffdshow.. will it effect badly in podplayer? (would i always need to change the values)

any advice or comments would be appreciated. Because i don't actually know what the hell im doing

ok thanks Maken.  I think you should implement a simple installtion package and start selling! hehe well done for your efforts.

ps. I got it working in the end. Just messing about with settings etc.

I will only use it for documentaries and other shows.. for films.. i will continue to watch at 24fps. For me its more 'sureal' which is important for me in a film.

ok I need help again.

when I installed everything the first time.. it work.. and I saw it was playing at 120fps...

I then uninstalled everything.. because I thought I was missing something. (cuda setup)...

now I reinstalled everything (3rd time).. and I run svp... and open a video in potplayer.. but nothing happens now

any idea? (sorry for being annoying.. im sure I have followed all steps) :s

ok I will give up for the time being.. and revert to the basic installation of MPV-HC too complicated for me.. and couldn't get cuda to work :S

I seem to have some difficulties following your instructions.. (not sure if its because maybe the available software ie potplayer has changed or not)

Im about to configure pot player and in your section 2. Pot player configurations -2 Change the size of the player as you wish, then press " F5 " and fallow this settings (there is an image which shows to change 'BUILT IN SELF DXVA DECODER'....

Except... I don't have this... I cannot change the option (its stuck on 'default preset') - I have installed everything prior to this (although instructions maybe slightly different.) -Maybe I should select 'dxva' when installing ffdshow? your instructions tell me not to. HELP!
