right now there're no differences in the FRC engine between 3.1.7 and 4.0

nope, this's obviously an issue that have to be resolved even for the Free version

what's the video you're trying to play?
is it really a variable frame rate video or what?

%appdata%\SVP4

> location of settings

App settings -> Additional options -> All settings
wink

> Maybe the message doesn't exist in SVP4

yeah, I believe it doesn't

this's a known issue, will be fixed in the next build

Does anyone know if this issue happens with the Intel HD4600 because of a driver issue or something?

in fact you're the first one who reported about such an issue with HD4000

I was hoping for this week, but not quite sure now.
Soon wink

By default, MPC HC is set to use some filter called "madVR" but it's marked "unavailiable"

it' possibly a bug in the installation script, I'll check
what exactly you've checked in the SVP installer under "optional software"?

reinstalling SVP won't help
this's completely a video driver's installation issue

SVP doesn't alter luma range in any way.
This's only up to video decoder and/or video renderer - for example LAV video decoder has an option to choose output range.

so do you have some advice for me?

I wish I have...
Anyone? Any ideas? big_smile

Maintain SVP installation"

OK, I've got LG's BD reader plus Hobbit-3 2-disk set (encrypted).
So I've installed AnyDVD HD, run SVP, run MPC-HC, choose "Open disk", and ...
...
... it's working w/o any issues!

What am I doing wrong?

----
Inserted 2nd disk with a lot of documentaries:

22:43:22.558 [i]: VideoPlayer: new ffdshow video [40864] in mpc-hc.exe (32-bit) [MPC-HC 1.7.10.0] on screen 0
22:43:41.501 [i]: Media: video 1920x1080 [PAR 1.000] at 23.976 fps [constant]

Note 20 seconds gap between detection of ffdshow and end of MediaInfo's job.
But after that it's still working.
