and about XBMC... if you're trying to use SVPlight in XBMC you probably have Prismatiks's plugin for XBMC installed
afaik that plugin communicates with Prismatik in the same way SVPlight does - with the Remote API
may be there's some interference here

When I use Prismatik capture engine in SVPLight, it works fine but in XBMC, the LED colours go crazy (they are refreshing very very quickly)

did you apply "color correction" option in SVPlight or it's set to defaults?

yeah I think so

I'm not talking about SVPtube but about artifacts on frame edges.

May be it's some NV Optimus issue, try to set it so SVP Manager and the video player always run with NV card active.
