I have seen 2 different versions of an otherwise identical video file. Both had been 1280x720@24FPS
But one is recognized as 1920x800 while the other is correctly recognized as 1280x720.

so they were NOT identical
there'is no place for magic here

"pixel rate" is just width multiplied by height multiplied by frame rate
it's a "pixels per second" value

You're wrong, it's still working but benefits gained from GPU are too small comparing to CPU consumption made by "6px, small 2"

Ah ok, the default render (EVR-Custom present) is at CPU 16% and GPU 23% when doing 120 FPS.
