Please excuse me but it sounds like bullshit wink

I believe Daum PotPlayer is more customizable. Also it has built-in DXVA copy-back decoder so no need for LAV wink

The vote lacks one option - "I don't use MPC-HC"  big_smile

Драйвера, скорее всего, не при чем.
- либо файла по указанному пути нет
- либо не хватает каких-то системных библиотек, скорее всего OpenCL.dll

i've just spent the last hour trying to replicate the other 1440x1080i bug

I should ask for the error message first smile This's simple - just patch .exe file of progdvb with that tool and it should be OK. MPC-HC executable is already patched so it works.

I'm now using 3.06 so I can't replicate the bug as it doesn't appear to be affecting 3.06.

3.0.6 and 3.1.1 can easily live together in different installation folders wink
The main thinks that is different in 3.06 and 3.1.1 GPU processing is "Motion vectors interpolation mode" option so try to switch it from "bicubic" to "bilinear". Anyway I think it's some kind of driver bug for 7xxx chips  hmm

At the same time, memory usage on my AMD 7970 3gb card would max out at 3gb, and stay there for anywhere from 10 secs to 2-3 minutes

There's another feedback from "happy" 7850 owner.
May be it's the same issue hmm

Is "a serious mem leak" in system memoryor in video mem?

1440x1080i (anamorphic) DVB-T streams would simply crash the app that plays them. However, disabling GPU-acceleration (open cl) causes it not to crash.

Could you make a short sample of raw stream?

What do you mean?  hmm
Obviously 50 Hz screen is the best for 25 fps source. Some people believe it's the best for 23.9/24 fps sources too - they use motion interpolation 24*2 = 48 fps + ReClock up to 50 Hz.
I don't like ReClock cause I prefer to bitstream DTS sound to AV-receiver and for me 23.9 * 5/2 = 60 Hz mode is much better than 23.9 * (some_strange_value) = 50 Hz.

can not find the automatic settings "reference system level 1-2-3 etc. etc."

it's determined automatically at installation time:
http://www.svp-team.com/forum/misc.php?item=1530&download=1

and you can change it from Start menu -> SVP 3.1 -> Reset profiles (run as Administrator)

The author of that tutorial is SubJunk and he uses Interframe script which is based on libraries from SVP. Interframe aims for encoding so it can use more heavy settings than SVP itself.

I guess SVP uses MVTools for motion compensation base interpolation ?

MVTools is a base for SVP 3.0.6 and earlier but SVP 3.1 based on our own deep modifications of MVTools - http://www.svp-team.com/wiki/Plugins:_SVPflow

Это чо, новую спецификацию BD принимать, и все имеющиеся сейчас проигрыватели на помойку?  big_smile

badrange=-24 will use exhaustive search regardless of "search" value

I believe it used to work some times ago  hmm  May be I've broken something...

Is there any way to disable SVP for files whose refresh rate is higher than 25?

Sure. Add new video profile for 30 fps and turn off frame interpolation in it.

i dont know if i need this

Yes you do big_smile  The second fixed bug is about motion vectors accuracy => picture quality.

As a workaround you can open video from WMC in external player.
Install that plugin, set it to use MPC-HC x32:
http://www.svp-team.com/forum/misc.php?item=1519&download=1

and use it from WMC:
http://www.svp-team.com/forum/misc.php?item=1521&download=1

There'no other options to use SVP in 64bit WMC.

It's just that 3.06 used a lot less CPU for me.

you can't compare them in this way cause the settings and their default values are very different

the tearing on the left-hand side of the screen

i've got no idea what do you mean  hmm "tearing" is a frame break caused by wrong vertical sync
could you make a screenshot of this?

AVG?

There's a chance that it'll be better with the latest SVPflow libs (today's build 1.0.3) but they need some adjustment in scripting code.

You could test it wink
- unpack DLLs from there to SVP_install_dir/Plugins
- replace SVPMgr.wsf with attached one

... or just wait for SVP 3.1.2 update

See the first message!

А чего сразу цвет? gaunt-у он упёрся, но он дает процентов 10-15 скорости, не более.
Вот ты включи точность "до двух пикселей" (только строго в GPU-режиме) и попробуй увидеть разницу в картинке wink

Now we know that it's a bug (or a "feature"  big_smile) either in 301.10 OpenCL compiler for GTX680 or in SVP code.
I hope the next WHQL release will show the answer.

Best options are marked as "default" in each setting wink except that "SVP shader " = "21th" is better than default 13th in my opinion.
"Decrease grid step" is optional - turn it on if your CPU can handle it.

Also in your case it'll be useful to set "decrease frame size" to "to screen size" in 1920 profiles.
