I have a 12 thread cpu. Does it mean i have to select 24 thread in svp settings or how do we calculate it ?
My new settings are like this;
Uniform
Standard Disabled
Half Pixel
32px
Global refinement
Small and fast
Strongest
Large
Repeat Frame
What do you think about this settings? It's really good for anime.
GPU rendering gives more quality. So, don't turn it off.
Another question is i am using 32px because it gives me the smoothest playback but does this have a side effect other than micro stutter in some panning scenes ?
I use 120hz and by blocks setting because block artifacts look better but i have a question. Should i turn gpu rendering off to get the most out of this setting? I asked this question a couple of times but couldn't get a decent answer.
72 Hz trick works with PC displays and projectors.

If your TV/monitor cant do 48/96/120Hz you can make x2 and use mpv's "reclock" for few% to get perfect 50Hz. We need to do ELI5 guide
Setings dont matter much for x2. 60 for 24 base sucks ass imo
Can i watch movies on a 60hz display with x2 settings using;
video-sync=display-resample
video-sync-max-video-change=5
or do i have to make some other changes. If yes i wan't to ask if this reclock settings work with x3,x4 etc. on 144hz ?
I had a problem when i was using svp alone which was some sort of stuttering and i though that it wasn't smooth enough. So i activated madvr smooth motion so that it can correct the problem with original video if there is one and svp will continue to do its job better. My question here is will this produce more artifacts than svp alone ? The other thing is i feel that videos get blurrier at certain scenes. Do you think it is because of madvr smooth motion seting ?
I am curious about that too actually.
Hi,
Sorry for offtopic but could you refere to this topic: https://www.svp-team.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=6081, because of the hardware that you have. Is your 3900x able to handle these settings what Blackfyre asked for?
I think this hardware would be fine with any kind of setting up to 60hz. If you go above that hz it won't work. You'll probably need better gpu and cpu.
You can't get rid of artifacts but you can make them less visible. I'm using svp over 2 years now. What i can say to you is go for max smoothness eventhough you will notice artifacts because no matter what you do adding newer frames will produce artifacts. Here are my max smoothness settings you can give it a try if you like:
Don't use to screen. Instead use x2,x3 etc.
Uniform
Standard
Disabled
Half Pixel
16px(Anime)24px(Movies)
By two with global refinement
Small and Fast
Strongest
Large
Repeat Frame
I'm curious about what they are doing different than svp to make movies or animes smoother. You are the developer right? Will my settings that i gave above give me the maximum soap opera effect or can i do something extra to make my videos even smoother?
Can you tell me if you know which one of these is dmitrirender using?
I need to try it out a little longer to see the difference i think. One last question should i use mpv or mpc-hc does it make any difference ?
MAG79 suggested me this profile a while ago:
frame interpolation: uniform
SVP shader: 10. by blocks
artifacts masking: disabled
motion vectors precision: one pixel (or half pixel)
motion vectors grid: 14 px
decrese grid step: disabled
search radius: small and fast (or small)
wide search: disabled
width of coarse top level: small
processing of scene changes: blend adjacent frames
So maybe he can answer my question
What is the difference between the artifact that by block setting produces and the artifact other settings produce? I see no difference when it comes to artifacts
Do i need to turn off gpu rendering in order to get the max out of by blocks setting?

If problem appears only when you stresstest both but not any single option then indeed it might be AC.
Just remember that "500W AC" can actually be one of those cheap which give only like 200-300W on a 12V line so you neeed to pick a good one Bronze or even Silver and read some specs.
Also don't forget to do basic stuff once a year like check temperature and if needed clean fan/repaste cpu etc.
My psu is 750w i don't think that the problem is caused by it. Another update is i hear this sound when i use dmitri so i would understand if u guys tell me that you don't want to talk about it because you are responsible for svp. I though maybe they inserted some kind of mining virus in it that causes this noise. So i deleted it. I don't trust russian made things anymore. When i bought the key for it i thought it was forever like svp but it turns out that it is limited. Basically i solved this problem by deleting dmitri still thanks for all of your help.

Maybe it is coil whine of your graphics card or power supply.
run a "hardware light" game in windowed mode while svp is running.
if the noise changes or disappears the noise comes from the voltage converters: coil whine.
It comes from the strong load fluctuations that svp can generate (load-no load-load etc.).
Except for the annoying noise no negative effect is to be expected.
It's not like coil whine. It's like a part of my pc is working on something and the sound is like breathing it comes and it goes till i close the program.
"weired sounds" from a pc usually come from old / dying capacitors in psu and / or motherboard
that's what I know
This only happens when i use motion interpolation programs as i said before. There is no such sound when i play games or do anything else.
It started recently so i don't know why this is happening. I hope it wont have an impact on my pc.
psu
Thanks for the info will buy a better one asap.
Can any motion interpolation program harm my pc. When i use svp or dmitrirendere a weird sound comes from my pc it is like breathing. I thing something is doing a process but only when i use one of this program i hear that sound. Any ideas why this might happen ?

Did u change monitor/tv hz to match that ? eg 71.928 for 3x
Yes, eventhough it gets smoother i don't see that smooth effect on head movements or hair animations. I only get to see those effects when i use to screen.
cemaydnlar wrote:Why would you use svp when new tv's can do interpolation better ? And here are my 2 settings that work best for me.
$2000 vs svp cost Its quite a lot in covid times and/or poor countries
I see most of you missing integral multiplier. Some prefer 3x, some 2x. It really enhances SVP quality
