nvm reinstall of svp fixed it must have been some codec conflicts

Check if you launch player or SVP with admin rights. Run it the same way from usual user.

It is not normal. Look to SVP Event log. Do you see any error thereSVP tray menu - Information - Events log

ok now when it is actually running i can't see any difference between on and off state of svp in vlc and its running 75fps on my 144hz monitor. it's just eating cpu power for no reason as it is now.
i keep getting:
