I was able to fix this by enabling 3d vision in Nvidia. I don't know why that works, or how that affects a video player loading files, but it seems to have fixed it. Bizarre.

Thanks for the link! Didn't know there was a more recent fork of mpc-hc. I went through and tried the older versions and seem to have the same problem. It looks like it might be an NVidia issue as someone else experiences the same thing: https://www.reddit.com/r/techsupport/co … ime_since/

Tried a few different nvidia driver combos with no luck though.

I reinstalled SVP and MPC-HC and opening files in MPC-HC seems to pin one CPU core at 100% for around 20 seconds. Regardless of file size/type. SVP seems to work after that, but it's a crazy long load time. I suspect a new version of MPC is doing something my older version wasn't? I've tried installing older versions from their website, using different renderers/decoding - nothing seems to fix it.

The version in MPC-HC installed through SVP is 1.7.16 - the latest version on MPC-HC's website is 1.7.13, so I'm not sure where 1.7.16 comes from.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!
