Hi, I am still tweaking the configurations so that ideally, I only have to use mvp (b) and leave it at that.
Right now I have changed disable launch to true.

However, what;s the easiest way to turn SVP on? (svp is already running, just disabled)
I tried the keyboard shortcuts and it didn't work. (I set it as control + 1) Using that shortcut in both mpv or svp doesn't do anything.
Any clue?
thanks

What kind of CPU is needed for 4k30 to 4K120 at the highest quality?

Currently using a 4770K with an RTX 3080.

Even with GPU acceleration, Nvidia Optical Flow and NVDEC  in MPV, I am still suffering from massive frame drops. Basically, I can't use SVP at all with 4K content.
I know my CPU is weak, but I thought the workload could be offloaded to the GPU.

What kind of CPU do I need to enable 4k120?

I also find seeking with SVP on slows down significantly, even when reset on seek is set at "don't reset"
Any other settings to improve this?

Thanks

Hi,
I tried the solutions you suggested.
1.

So I just tested ui.disable_on_launch
The default was false so I changed it to true.

With this change, I can use mvp(b) normally if I don't have SVP open. However, when svp is open, the frame conversion will apply to all media again, which I don't want. I know I can manually close SVP, but doing this back and forth is tedious.

2. I think I like this solution more. With the new video profile, basically any file opened with mpv(a) will not trigger svp. I can also leave SVP on and just open mpv(b) to look at files that I want interpolation.

Thanks for telling me how to address this problem. Too bad I have an older CPU. I guess once I upgrade I can just leave SVP on all the time.

Using the latest version of SVP 4 Pro.

Currently I have two versions of MPV installed on my computer.

MPV(A) (This is my default player I use most of the time. Latest stable build of mpv with shaders that I want. No issues with it normally)

MPV(B) (This is the MPV player that comes with the SVP 4 pro installation.)

When SVP is opened, I can use MPV(B) to play files with frame conversion. No issues at all.

However, when SVP is on, when I use MPV(A) to open any files, the file will open but the program will close itself in a second. The only way to solve this is to turn off SVP. Then things go back to normal.

Under application settings, I have already tried to add MPV(A) in the control options and chose "don't use svp". However, the force close of MPV(A) still persists.

(I need to keep both versions. I cannot stand the slow seeking of SVP+MPV so I only use SVP for selected media that I want to watch)
