I don't know about you, but for me, DVDs don't play well with SVP at all. Not just the menus, but the actual videos keep skipping frames.

No point in supporting DVD menus until DVD videos are supported smile

If you don't have enough power to play dvd:s from disc, then try to make them a solid copy to your hard drive to free some extra power from your computer.

Okay been testing this. They actually works 99% of situations finally. smile

...in 64bit Windows 10?

afaik it only works at 32bit Win7 which is kinda obscure along SVP users.

Thing is,  This new 3.7 version works only if I start MPC in admin account and SVP in admin account. It won't work anymore on limited account.

Then read SVP instructions if you can't use SVP after installation. It's not too hard to use u know.  big_smile

I am not sure smile was about that maybe you could hint that what would cause the problem as SVP provides all the necessary components to watch DVD:s, including the player, madVR, SVP, ffdshow and reclock, so actually SVP containts all those and can be named to relate to a SVP.

I usually make dvd-rips with makemkv and watch them via mpc and svp, but suddenly the subtitles on DVD has stopped working, they usually work nicely 5 minutes after movie and then vanishes. What would cause that?

I have win 8.1 64bit
amd radeon 7950 and latest 14.9 drivers.

MaXimus

Why there isn't microsoft listed at that AV-graph?

I would not call that Emsoft any good as it caused you troubles with SVP. The energy and time you used to fix your problems you'd had watched couple of movies or doing something else.

" so advice is not using SVP in that condition  smile "

This sounded a brilliant idea on paper, but somehow it's not just workin on IRL, the quality is very bad on motion, it's  like real 25fps, not framerate doubled material.

I think this needs more than that. Buggy and perhaps unimplemented solutions yet.

Yes, from ffdshow's deinterlacing options.

Yes, SVP seems to activate the ffdshow deinterlacing filter, what ever is set up there. Is there anything better deinterlacing alternatives via SVP?

I usually watch TV also with SVP turned on and all the bells and whistles.

My main program to watch TV is ProgDVB.

My main rig is core i7 860@3.7ghz
HD7950
8gigs of ram at 2133mhz

I have problems with frame rate still when Yadif x2 is turned on. Cpu usage is between 50-70% usually. In some programs fps is very smooth, but usually it's choppy. I noticed that using yadif in 2x mode is the best so far to keep sharpness and accuracy of the picture.

It usually looks like that the svp isn't catching the fps and working at all. Maybe bug in script or in drivers or lack of cpu power?

This should be on FAQ. Just uncheck the "dvd-decoding" option in ffdshow-menu, when choosing decoder for mpeg2 in decoder options. I think ffdshow gets confused with MPC if the dvd-decoding is turned on or something like that.

Got the SVP workin on ProgTV, but MadVR isn't launching at the same time? I guess it's not working yet?  smile

what is DBviewer?

I always use madVR + LAV + SVP

Please explain and is it any better than my setup that I have now?

I watch television also with my computer and some better image quality isn't hurting there either.  You get the idea.

Next one you can google for me that in which dvb viewing software it works.  big_smile

Just a quick question, how to setup madVR to render dvd viewer. Everything else works greatly with SVP.

It's not that serious. You're welcomed also to get public enemy DVD and test it. MadVR project guy tells that he's not supporting MadVR DVD playback on 64-bit Windows 7 which is quite a hipster decicion so I am not amazed that this still has problems. (maybe 100% of new computers has 64-bit Windows 7 but who cares really..)

I'll keep you updated with latest drivers and svp version, when it start's to work correctly again as this has worked before and I use this DVD as testing media to test the latest drivers and SVP.

This project is directshow based, since it interacts with ffdshow through avisynth. The whole point of directshow is easy extensionability, though this usually hinders the "plug-and-play"-functionality a bit. If you don't have enough patience to spend 30 minutes setting it up properly before leaving such a remark, may I suggest VLC instead?

30 minutes? Check this forum. I think I've been in this forum already like 30 hours. I know my stuff, have been set up ffdshow and madvr several times, but this time something has gone horrible wrong with SVP project, and it's really broken no matter what settings I have.

If you could read, you'd notice several screenshots from me which tells for an Average JOe that I've been spendin more than 30 minutes ni this wrecked project.

Yes without SVP the colours are crisp and clear and motion doesn't make artifacts, (of course without SVP I lose the smooth motion algorithms.) as you can wait them to be because MadVR renders them or for example if I try to play it in VLC. I think the problem is in FFDshow or in SVP.

OK, especially for you I've found both DVD drive and still readable DVD disk, which is "Kingdom of Heaven"  big_smile
It works as expected in MPC-HC with any filters combination that I have.

lickering and too bluish and greenish and picture quality varies from smooth to sharp every 2 seconds can't be added by SVP so what if just turn it off? Which version of ffdshow you're using? - try another one.

I think this project is doomed. You're asking me what FFDshow I am using? Try to make a wild guess...HINT:  I downloadeed it from your web page.

This is unprofessional project which never will work properly, like linux for example.

Yeah right. the DVD what I am trying to watch is Public Enemy btw.  smile

This is only setting how it actually works. I am using normal account for my Windows for the security reasons, does that count?

hmm

This is really buggy as hell. Only settings which the svp want's to work is to block subtitles filter from MPC-HC external filter options. Putting ffdShow RAW to block did not made any difference but at least removed the double icons from task bar.  hmm

I guess the windows 7 x64 support is nonextinct rigth now as all the SVP developers still uses 11 years old Windows XP with under than 4 gigs of ram? There isn't much point using SVP as you can't even adapt DVD's for it.

It looks weird. It wants ffdshow video decoder double time for example.
