Alright, I have more information.

If I transcode my original file (the one that doesn't work, which is 4k HDR10) in 1080p, it works!!
So now I'm trying to understand what would make the 4k not work.

EDIT: Anyways it doesn't fit my use case very much as I'm pretty much guaranteed to lose HDR data when transcoding. I'll keep using live transcoding!

Well, I did everything you said while trying after every step, but nothing works.
Not that big of a deal, especially since sometimes it still works but I hate to not know the issue.
I don't think it's HDR because the file that works is HDR10 also.

If u convert that .mkv video to .mp4 first (using other software like https://handbrake.fr/ )
and only after that transcoding the .mp4 with RIFE
Will that fix the issue?

Curious if SVP devs encountered this before...

If I convert to mp4 using handbrake, then transcode with RIFE, it doesn't work, either to mp4 or mkv.

Try to disable hardware acceleration.

It does this if I transcode either h264 or h265, software or hardware.
Another thing is, transcoding using the standard interpolation (without RIFE) works well.

Weirdly the live interpolation works perfectly, but the goal would be not to play the files on this computer.

EDIT: I tried with another file, in 1080p this time (the previous one was 2160p) and it seems to work.
I wonder if there's an issue with HDR of some sort.

Hi, have you found a solution to your issue? I'm having the same trouble.

When I transcode a video that is:
- .mkv (.mp4 works)
- Using any RIFE engine version (tried 4.24, 4.9, 4.6)

The output result only has the top left corner working properly, the rest of the screen is flickering like madness (see OP google drive link).

I reinstalled SVP, RIFE and video player to no avail. I don't know what to do to make this work any more sad
