Apparently the alternative option for the movement smoothing is getting more and more mature. This is so-called Dmitri Render , which you can find in Google.

It does all the operations for the movement smothing right on the GPU, no CPU is involved. So the CPU load is about 0.
But it require quite powerful CUDA - enabled videocard. Which is GT530 and higher currently.
As the software is constantly being improved, it is getting more and more GPU demanding. So probably GT570 would be the right choice for now.

In some post I saw SVP Mark rate 500 as a minimum required.
Though, I miself would not advise use of the GPU with the minimum requirements. As you might want to explore some better quality settings, or later in next versions the more calculations will be put onto the GPU and GPU which in turn would require slightly more powerful GPU.

Некоторые пользователи жалуются, что SVP после инсталляции не работает. Причина - не выполнено принудительное подключение в МРС-НС ffdshow raw video filter в настройках MPC-HC.  Подозреваю, что это так при начальной установке SVP на Win7 x64, у меня по крайней мере при установке на чистую Win7 x64 похоже было именно так. При установке на ХР раньше такого эффекта не наблюдал.

Полагаю стоит срочно доработать инсталлятор и выложить исправленную версию. Все-таки хоть и легко устранимый, но изрядно глупый и необязательный дефект. Искажает светлый образ разработчиков и бросает тень на Вашу великолепную программу.

When SVP start it's working, it also chages it's shape in tray. So if nothing happens with the SVP icon in tray after you launch movie in MPC-HC, it mean that SVP is not working. Most likely reason for this is that there is no any ffdshow program/filter used by MPC-HC while playing video. AFAIK it is required as SVP work is triggered by the ffdshow program/filter. To check if this is so, you are advised to place the mouse over the video while playing video in MPC-HC, press the right button, select in the drop-down menu "Filters". In this problem case there will be no any video-related filters, containing the prefix like "ffdshow" in the list.

To fix the problem, you are advised adding the ffdshow raw video filter into the list of the external filters of MPC-HC and make it preferable, in the top of the list (as shown in the screenshot attached)
