Well yeah the good news was more referring to the bypassing of my problem. And Im currently quite happy that it works.

Good news!

I solved the problem. I found another thread with the same problem and there sb gave the advice to install an earlier version of SVP. I uninstalled mine and installed the 3.0.6 and now it works as it should. This project is really awesome!

There are no problems without SVP running. And tried to install the 2010 DirectX, but it didnt work.
I dont know if I have a bugreport.txt or how to create one. I have the dmp-file but I dont know how to attach it here.

I tried it with several .mp4 files and .mkv files. Im not sure about the error module name and number, it just gives me a short message that MPC created a mini-dump and asks me if I want to send it to them. There is no error number or something like that. After closing the window I get the "... is not working anymore" message.

Hey guys, I just installed SVP and looked for codecs that are installed and uninstalled them before that. Now when opening a video with MPC it crashes and creates a mini-dump. The same thing happens when I try it with Windows Media Player. I dont have any idea what kind of information you need and I hope this post is not utterly stupid. Any kind of advice?
