thank you Rain. Will check it out.
Much appreciated for the quick reply
Hey Maken
Hope you are well.
I replaced my computer and wanted to re setup my svp and pot player.
Where has the guide gone?
Just to let you know (maybe related). A lot of Nvidia users report having performance problems with the latest windows 10 build.
Many are reverting to build 1607 (anniversary update). Has been an issue for a while.

Fast sync is great for games,, but for video,, it crashes when put in full screen for me
Can anyone help?
Hope your situation gets better soon Maken1. God Willling. God Bless.
brilliant. thanks. Yes ive tested more and it definitely lags at times using direct3d 9ex copy mode...
ok guys.. i seem to have found out why its stuttering every so often.
in Video -> direct3d presentation = (if this is on direct3d 9x copy mode present... it causes stuttering) I changed this to 'auto' and the stutter seems to have gone.
But by setting this to auto,, what have i changed? is it going to be worse image quality? Will have to do more testing to see if the stutter has definitely gone... maybe it hasn't as its sometimes comes n goes for some reason :S
Thanks
hmm not sure why I cant show the pot player jpg like how I showed the MPC :S
anyhow.. you can click the pot player output file too
Hi All
Im wondering can you help.
I enjoy SVP but not for films.
I am having issues playing films using pot player with SVP not loaded. The problem doesnt seem to be there using MPC HC. (i dont have a clue why). Im also guessing the problem will be there slightly if i do use SVP but I dont care much for SVP for now..
The problem Im having is when using pot player, any 24p film, every so often (maby every 5 to 10 seconds.. i dont seem to see a pattern) the frame rate looks like it drops to 5fps for about 1.5 seconds then returns back to normal fluidity,, but the video player reports around 24fps. (changes from 23.88 to around 24 if im looking in the right place).
From what I have tested.. i dont seem to see that problem with MPC-HC. All i want is the best image and motion for my 24fps films. Can anyone suggest anything?
I have attached some images if they help :S
Any help would be much appreciated
P.S
1) I have i7 2600k, gtx 970, windows 10 pro on 500ssd
2) its a new Windows install, new drivers and pot player installation using the guide.
3) I notice in MPC the frame rate is more constant than pot player (could this be related?)
Hello team.
I know the guide says use 32 bit for now, but is this still the case?
Would I benefit in playback from using 64 bit pot player?
Thanks
Ah yes.. i realise that now. Just found it a bit bizare since in version 3 it was free. I got the pro one now cos I think its worth the work the developers put in.
I dont like using SVP for films (id rather run my 1080p projector at 24hz). I like SVP for documentaries tho or anything else than movies. But to be honest I would really prefer a 120hz 1080p projector. Can never get SVP motion to look as natural/good (24p) as my 120hz 720p projector.
Thanks anyhow.
SVP 4 where are the options to change frame rate like in svp 3?
I dont find them anywhere
are they suppose to be somewhere here (check pic)
ps.. I have a sandy bridge CPU. I dont think its exclusively Skylake only
I had this issue also. What I did was completely uninstall everything to do with potplayer, ffdshow, etc. Then re installed again following guide.
Then it worked. not sure what it was. Maybe I missed something. This was windows 10 build. I do find windows 10 more fragile than win 7.
thanks Maken. But I find Madvr loses detail for example in a view of forest from birdseye view... Evr seems more detailed (maybe its not noticable on small screens.. I use a 100+ inch screen)
ps... no need for upscaling as its already 1080p material
funny,, I find EVR custom has a better image than madvr (more details)... maybe Im not using it right :S lol
oh.. its ok.. it works with the new pot player
Hey Maken,, can you do a small check for me? I see that my 'edge enhancement' in Nvidia control panel doesn't seem to have any effect when using madvr. Its fine when using EVR Custom present :S
7- Don't use Nvidia CUDA video decoder in PotPlayer or Lav Video Decoder while using madVRs image doubling. ?? why not?? If so,,, what do we use.. and where do we change this settings...
I would really appreciate a guide for people like me who are noobs but have good pc with nvidia and would like to use madvr!!
Yo Maken
What would you like me to take a sreenshot of? (which part)
I am using Madvr as renderer and also CUDA... seems ok. Is there something is should know about??
Hey Maken, Im not sure what optical is :S lol never mind..
Ye i will use the new potplayer you suggest.... ive already configured it for cuda and also messing about with madvr :S
I do feel however, that too much power is drawn from the CPU,, and in my case.. I feel the GPU can do more work instead of the CPU.. maybe u can look into this in a later revision of SVP.
Well done in getting the new card enjoy! I hope you will get some free days...
Peace
heyy... Maken.. ignore my last question... I worked it out... newbie on a learning curve...
Also... do you have a knowledge base or something where people can report problems and you can log them?
I have one... I use optical out from my pc for sound to my amplifier.. but it seems when I ticket it 'dts'... as you stated before... I lose volume control from pot player... I have to keep it unchecked.
hi Maken1.. my spces are i7 2600k (@4.9ghz), 12gb RAM, Nvidia Gtx 970.
Thanks for instructions how to change renderer... I will do this. But do I have change filter to madshi also?
1 more question.. what problems are people saying with Nvidia and latest player? (I havent seen any problems yet) :S
edit: and to display i use Benq w1070 projector.
