yeah, I use bitdefender(free version). But it seems like it hasnt done anything to svp. it puts all suspicious files and detected viruses in quarantine, and nothing regarding svp has ever been put there. I guess there isnt some way to get the maintenance exe file back without reinstalling tongue

neither cmd nor the run app worked. the run app said it couldnt find it. Going into the svp 4 folder. both the dat and backup file are there, but the vp4-maintenance.exe is missing(if it should be there). Ill try reinstalling in a couple of hours, dont have the time right now

So I have gotten notifications for available updates for a couple weeks now, but I cant seem to update them. When the svp utilities page pops up, the "install via svp maintenance tool" button doesnt work. it starts glowing slightly like normal when I hover and click on it, but it doesnt do anything. Is there some way to fix this, or some other way to update it, or should I try reinstalling svp? The rest of the features work like normal, its only the update thing that seems to be broken

okay, I sort of got a temporary fix for this. turns out this problem only arises when SVP tries to render to the screen refresh rate(144hz). It will then make all 144 frames per second, but only display them at 60fps, causing the slowmo. Setting the target fps to 120hz fixed the issue. The right click and resizing crashes also went away. Changing it back into 144hz makes the same problems start again, so im staying at 120hz until I clean install windows or want to continue tinkering with this.
This problem seems pretty weird, and I dont know what causes it, as reverting windows updates, graphics drivers and reinstalling all programs involving svp didnt change anything, might be a 3rd party program that started interfering in some way, but I dont know which one it would be in that case

windows 10 updated, everything else should be the same. I tried rolling back the update, but that didnt work, and using a backup didnt make a difference either. I tried using a backup again, and the same issue persists, but now the video also goes to about half playback speed when svp kicks in, and about half the frames get dropped. the audio is at normal speed, so they get out of sync directly. When I change subtitles or audio languages the video jumps to the current frame but the speed is still way too slow.(the previous problems also still persist).
the crash warning also changed to this:

so if I right click in mpc with svp enabled while a video is playing, or press f11, it will crash and show this message:

WARNING: Following frames may be wrong.
ffdshow+0x5e69
ffdshow+0x8ad1

Uninstalling and reinstalling mpchc, svp, avisynth, ffdshow etc didnt help.

I have used svp4 since it launched, and only started getting this error last week, is there some easy fix for this?

Thank you mashingan, the codec tweak tool fixed it after redownloading everything. Turned out some files in reclock were corrupted and interfered with the audio in some way. Thanks once again, im so happy right now  big_smile

And btw before using k-lite I tried disabling 32-bit floating point , but it didnt solve anything

Im sorry, I dont know what the purpose of the link you posted is. I already said 2 times that the problems are with the 32bit mpc-hc, and I havent downloaded this k-lite package that seems to be his problem. The only package I have have downloaded are the ffdshow and cccp

I also just tried installing the potplayer, but there I get the message that I have no directx audio driver installed. BUt I have one installed, and get no problems with 64bit mpchc and no problems with vlc media player. The only problems I get are with the players that svp tries to use

yes, but it is the 32 bit version that has audio problems, I just included in my post that I also have a 64bit version that has no problem with audio thinking it might help find a solution. I have also tried installing a 32bit version of the update, but then I get the same problem

So when I start mpc-hc I get this warning message
When I click close the video starts but there is no sound. I tried installing an updated mpc-hc version and then there is no audio problem, but instead svp isnt enabled on it

SO I first installed SVP 3 days ago, the video quality seems fine, but I cant get any audio to work. I have tried reinstalling everything, getting updated ffdshow and changing audio sources among other things, but nothing seems to work. Every time I try to start a movie I get a long-ass message stating some problem with the audio, and when I close the message the video starts but without sound.
