Hi, I recently started having issues with SVP where after about 5-10 minutes of watching something the video will freeze and MPC-HC will stop responding, but the audio will continue playing until I close MPC-HC. I think I have a pretty standard installation with MPC-HC and SVP 64-bit. If I disable "Do frame rate conversion" in SVP everything works fine, but if I enable it then the crashes will happen.

Any1 that has any idea what my issue could be?

Disabling Gsync has greatly reduced my amount of crashes. I now only crash once every 30-60 minutes as opposed to once every 5-10 minutes. The issue does still persist though and if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Another update: Disabling Shadowplay/Instant Replay in Nvidia Geforce Experience fixes all my crashes, I can even re-enable Gsync without getting any crashes. I really like to have Nvidia's Instant Replay on 24/7 though, any1 know how to make SVP compatible with it?

Since I last posted here I've noticed an issue that I'm only getting now that I enabled D3D Fullscreen enabled in the EVR properties. every 15 minutes or so there will be a slight stutter, after which the video and audio will get desynced. Sometimes by very little, but sometimes by up to 0.5 seconds. Any1 know why this is happening and how to get rid of it?
Thanks

You miss so much not using madvr

Hmm, 3 questions:
1. What is madvr?
2. What are the pros/cons of using madvr?
3. How do I get madvr?

I've been trying it out with D3D Fullscreen enabled in the EVR properties since yesterday and it has completely fixed my issue!

Thanks guys! smile

- ensure that it doesn't happen with SVP turned off

Confirmed it does not happen when SVP is turned off.
What's EVR and where do I find its properties?
Thanks

Hey, recently I've bought a new computer and I'm having an issue with it using SVP. Every 5 to 10 minutes the video playback will completely freeze for a second, to then continue working just fine for another 5 to 10 minutes. I use a pretty fresh install of Windows 10, and the default installation with MPC-HC. Specs are i7 7700K, 16GB of 3200Mhz RAM, and a GTX 1070. The media is played back from either an SSD or from an HDD in a NAS over LAN (same issue on both). I have SVP set to medium settings, and my CPU is under 20-30% load while playing back, and my GPU is under around 20% load. About 2GB of RAM is used by MPC-HC.

Video of a freeze:

Let me know if you want any more information about my system/settings etc. or if you want me to try something out, and I'll do so swiftly!
Thanks.
