Topic: Which is better LAV Splitter or Haali Splitter?

I have always only used LAV Splitter but since Haali splitter is included by default in the SVP Package, I was wondering is it better than LAV?

Mind you, I use LAV Video Decoder and LAV Audio Decoder

do you suggest I switch to Haali as my Audio Splitter or keep LAV?

Haali splitter is a little bit faster then LAV splitter.
I recommended to install LAV splitter first, and over it haali splitter.
Haali take itself mp4, mkv, ts, and other supported files, and for LAV splitter remain flv, web-m, etc.
If haali can not split videofile - LAV take itself and split them.

another explanation:

Haali splitter is more functionally than LAV Splitter
a) haali can merge linking video, offten in serials opening and ending cut in another file for econmy, haali deals with it fine, but with LAV Splitter subtitles and audio mistimes occur becouse LAV Splitter did't merge opening/ending to main file
b) haali can play various version in video file, for example directors/theatrical cinema versions in one file
c) haali icon in tray is more comfort for change sub/audio tracks than in player

I agree LAV is supported till now. Haali - not. The time comes, LAV will be the best.

Is it normal that SVP 3.1.4 doesnt work with LAV video decoder? 3.1.3 worked fine....

Well... i just installed new version and it didnt work till i marked ffdshow as prefered decoder. Till then it just would say "Waiting for ffdshow video"

It seems you tell about SVP Lite. SVP Lite needs to manually setup of your player: to add ffdShow RAW as postprocessor filter.

Or you can download SVP Full. It works with LAV from the box. wink

Oh i see.... I installed SVP full but i didnt install MPC as i already have it
