Use procmon and see for yourself.

I try to minimize disk usage and this is going like crazy.

Re: Bug/Quirk: Tons of File Operations when no video is playing at all.

I see no setting to disable it other than 'Disable SVP' or removing the process completely.

Thank you for the bug report.
It was unneeded settings read in SVP idle. Fixed now.

Just unpack it in "Program Files\SVP 3.1" folder and restart SVP Manager.

@MAG79, Had to zip the SVPMGR.exe file to a desktop (and delete it from SVP folder) then unzip it to the desktop and then move it to the SVP folder. Otherwise I would get security notification.

You can use any unpack software (WinZip, WinRAR) launched as Admin.

Wow Thanks MAG79! I wasn't expecting a fix so soon.  big_smile

This way I hope it helps people reduce their disk load in overall  smile

PS. I was usually changing the owner of the program files folder to the user for copying files that way but thanks for the tip! It makes sense to just run the copier in admin mode.  smile

By the way, if you're interested in improving it further I noticed a flood of operations when playing but also when it's disabled but ffdshow is playing something else:

I suppose it could be saving in batches every few seconds or have an option to disable logging (I'd have it disabled by default if it were my choice).

You are right.
These operations can be shorted. It will be another fix soon.

BTW do you really sense HDD load from that operations?
Modern OS uses bufferization and not access to hardware more times to read it.
