Topic: SVP wont start

i have a very annoying problem, as soon as i launch the program i get the SVP logo in the bottom right corner of my screen but as soon as i hover over it with my mouse to click it, the icon disappears and the program closes.
i have tried reinstalling it and running it as admin in compatibility mode for windows 7 and xp but nothing seems to fix it.
does anyone know what causes this and how to fix it?

Have you ran SVP successfully before, or are you new to it and this is the first time installing?
If you're not new... Did this happen after the update to 3.1.7 that came out today?
What OS are you using? Windows 8, 8.1, or 10?

Just some questions that you could answer that might help out the person answering you later.

i believe i have about half a year ago but back then i also had a couple of problems with it but it did launch, i cant remember but i might have done a full reset on my windows between then and now.

- Try to run 'clinfo.exe' from utils subfolder. Will it work?
- Reinstall graphics drivers

Installing newer driver did the job for me, apparently i have 3 year old drivers but i updated them about a month ago so i'm kinda confused.
