Topic: Active Playback Detected @ 144hz. But perf. monitor says not. (Linux)

Hi,

I recently installed SVP for linux (Manjaro) and I have a very odd prediciment. SVP is detecting active playback from MPV, and says it is running at 144hz, but MPV does not report that SVP is doing anything and SVP's performance monitor shows that my system's resources are barely going up, and I mean, CPU utilization is at maybe 8%? That and the High Framerate Index always stays at zero. I have Vapoursynth installed,  but I didn't compile MPV with vapoursynth as I don't actually know how to because there are no make triggers. Sometimes SVP doesn't do the interpolation if something is up with the video. For example, it refuses to do anything with some of my raw DVD rips, though I'm not sure if it's because they're interlaced or because they're 30p videos with native 24p framerates.

Does the Filetype matter?

I don't know about Linux, but at least on Windows the short video clip attached to the following post is known to work perfectly with SVP:

Obviously it won't work w/o built-in vapoursynth support.

Q: Can you enable vapoursynth on your build please. There is no MPV with vapoursynth enable on Arch now.
A: Just install vapoursynth and rebuild mpv

if you don't know how to compile stuff - install ubuntu...

Or Linux Mint.

...though from my testing, it seems like SVP4 doesn't work out-of-the-box in Linux Mint 18.
