Topic: SVP not working using Kodi and external videplayer

Hi guys,

I have a strange thing going on..

I setup MPC-HC in combination with SVP. Working fine.. However, when I launch MPC-HC from kodi as external player, the movie is playing fine, but without SVP! I investigated hours and hours to solve it, but I have no idea where to look anymore..

Every settings looks good. When I launch a movie with MPC-HC using kodi, the ffdshow raw video filter is visible in the Taskbar, so its using that to play. However, SVP does not see the playback and does nothing.

Does someone has a suggestion?

BTW, it has worked for years in the past this way. So I have no idea what has changed.. Also with older versions of MPC-HC it's not working anymore...

Stupid me that I didnt look there. I thought, its not seeing any playback, so nothing in the logs. But there is some info!

12:55:35.701 [E]: VideoPlayer: access is denied, SVP is running @power while video player is running @power(Adm)

So it has something to do with the user accounts or something.. Any idea?

And solved! I'm running SVP now as Administrator. And its working! Thanks for your help!

don't run Kodi as admin
