Topic: Installation process for Apple M1 Silicon (and FFMPEG)

Hello,

After installing the latest version of SVP (4.5.0.212) I cannot run any videos.
At first it wanted the location of FFMPEG and I set that path. However, I dont believe I have an Arm version of FFMPEG.  Does anyone have any advice on how to get the latest FFMPEG for Apple Silicon?

I'd really like to stay away from Homebrew if possible. I dont like how it hijacks sys paths and have only had bad experiences with it in the past. Is there any other way?

Thank you.

Not sure what you mean... Homebrew resides completely in its own directory and doesn't 'hijack' anything. ARM version (/opt/homebrew) is not even in PATH by default.

If you feel adventurous you always can build mpv with Vapoursynth on your own.
