Topic: Player crashes if special characters are in the file path

Basically, when I'm using SVP 4, if something like "街舞學校" is in the file path. It crashes.

It's fine if it's in the file name. But for me if it's in the file path it crashes. Can anyone reproduce this? Try run a video file from a directory called "街舞學校" if you get a moment.

Running latest Windows 10 and using latest MPC-BE.

Sorry I'm using MPC-BE not MPC-HC.

The media player itself crashes. I should add I'm using MadVR perhaps.

does it crash w/o SVP running?

Some japanese games were known to crash if the user was launching them in wrong system locale because of unicode characters.

Can you check what is your current system locale set to?

Thanks!

English (United Kingdom) works fine for me on default settings of latest https://github.com/qwerttvv/Player/releases
not sure what could cause it
