Topic: Help playing certain file formats

Hey guys, I've installed SVP 3.1.2 Full, along with the bundled MPC x86 player. It's playing AVI files perfectly but whenever I play MKV and MP4 files the player only displays a green screen with the audio. Some AVI files also do the same thing. Can I get some help? Cheers.

My system:
i5 3570k
2x 7970 Ghz

check which video decoder is in use

Where do I find that? Under the MPC options?

Under the Option > External Filters, I have: LAV Video Decoder, ffdshow raw video filter

I have the LAV Video Decoder, ffdshow raw video filter and Haali Media Source there

Under the LAV Video Decoder options, in 'Format', all formats selected except v210/v410

change "Hardware decoder to use" in LAV properties from "DXVA2 (copy-back)" to "QuickSync" (or vice versa)
