by the way MAG, I thought that when your display has 50, 59 and 60 options 59 is best to pick? You are saying 60 in this topic..... Or is this only for HTPC/Nvidia users?

? I thought it was best to put it on 'To Screen Refresh Rate' and put the HTPC on 59Hz?

Ok. Let start from beginning.
1. What frame rate on file: 23.976, 24, 25, 29.97 or 30 fps?
2. What you mean under 59 Hz? It is only "name" of real refresh rate 59.XXX. And XXX is different from system to system.

I just say what if you going to view 23.976 fps movie with minimum artifacts then you must point multiply refresh rate: 23.976*2 = 47.952 Hz or 23.976*3 = 71.928 Hz.
In this case you will see all source frames at the output.

2. I know it s only a name but I thought that on most NVIDIA settings 59 = 59.94 and that is the one that we want to use I thought......

My monitor Acer AL2623W when I choose 59 sets refresh rate as 59.913 Hz
It is less than 59.94 for NTSC video content at 60000/1001 speed.

My display device (Sony HW50 front projector) supports only 1080/24p, 1080/50p and 1080/60p
My display supports only 59 and 60 when windows installs. But I can add new custom resolution (and refresh rate) if monitors is connected to nVidia card.

But now I connect it to Intel HD Graphics 4000. It is no way to change refresh rate or add custom resolution. I have only two available values: 59 and 60. Both get refresh rate as 60.146 Hz hmm

So my "59" mode is 60.146 Hz. wink

So conclusion for my setup is that it is best to keep using the 59 profile of Nvidia correct?

I did not hear what your real refresh rate when you setup "59" mode?
You can see it in madVR at the top of statistic when press Ctrl-J.

Your aim is 59.94 Hz.

Jup, I got 59.94XXX reported by madVR. madVR tells me 'one frame dropped every 21 minutes'. That would be approx. 3 dropped frames per hour. But I get 20-30 dropped frames in one hour. Do I have to ask madshi (madVR author) what could this be or do you have an idea too maybe?
