Topic: [FIXED] about the 3D resolution in SVPtube

Dear Sir :

Thanks for your kindness to share the best video software.
I found the 3D resolution in SVPtube was not perfect, for example :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3kxmKdlnUpQ

It's the link of Avatar 3D version in YouTube. (Almost all of the 3D movies in YouTube is in the same result.)
When I play it with SVPtube, the 3D resolution will be set to "3D 720p MP4".
But my "Preferred resolution" setting in SVPtube is 1080p.
The resolution list of the 3D movies in SVPtube menu were :
360p MP4 / 720p MP4 / 1080p MP4 / 3D 240p MP4 / 3D 360p MP4 / 3D 520p MP4 / 3D 720p MP4

If I would like to watch the 3D 1080p version, I needed to click "1080p MP4" manually although my "Preferred resolution" is 1080p....

It will be very helpful if 3D resolution could be the same as "Preferred resolution"!

I have NVIDIA 3D Vision glasses. What glasses do you have and what player are you using?

Thanks for your quickly reply!
My player is MPC-HC 1.6.5.
And I didn't use the 3D glasses, I just used "Parallel Viewing" or "Cross-Eye Viewing" to watch 3D.
I guessed nVIDIA 3D vision might make the player "Full screen" directly(?)
I tried many different 3D videos(1080p) in YouTube, and they seems like in the same case. (highest 3D resolution in SVPtube is only "3D 720p MP4", but it's 1080p in YouTube)

If I understand you correctly you don't use any 3D hardware. You just watching 3D at usual display like here:

How you can watch 3D in fullHD resolution by these ways? hmm
Can you explain?

Yes, I used the method you mentioned!
It's a little difficult to explain....
Actually, I care about the initial "display area" on the monitor.
For example :
(1) The resolution of my monitor is 1920*1080.
(2) If I opened the 1080p 3D video by SVPtube (player is MPC-HC), the initial resolution will be set to 3D 720p by SVPtube. It means display area is 1280x720 in the center of 1920x1080 monitor.
(3) If I change the resolution to 1080p MP4 manually in SVPtube menu, and click "Play" again. Now I got almost 1920x1080 display area of 1920x1080 monitor.

Of course, I could press "Alt+Enter" to make MPC become "full screen", but it meant making 720p scale to 1080p. The image quality will not be as good as original 1080p movie. So I pick "1080p MP4" in SVPtube first, and  click "play".

Please let me know if my explain is poor or anything lost. Thank you very much!

1920 px width display must show two pictures for both eyes.
So, one picture have only 960 px width.
Am I right?

How many inches diagonal of your monitor?
How you "hack" your eyes to watch so BIG pictures by "Cross-Eye Viewing" method?

Yes, 960px for Left image and 960px for Right image.
My monitor is 21-inch, normally is "Parallel Viewing" method.
I listed "Parallel Viewing" or "Cross-Eye Viewing" is a easier way to explain what I did....

No need to apologize. It is OK.

But I am worry is it normal to use "Parallel Viewing" or "Cross-Eye Viewing" on 21" monitor at full screen?
What effect it has on health?
What duration of such viewing is allowed?

I remember first question, I will look answer this evening with my 3D glasses. Just I want to know more about your method of viewing 3D.

Thanks for your understanding.
You are right, it's not a good method to watch 3D.
But it's still better than red/blue glasses smile
Of course, I have a plan to buy a real 3D monitor soon.

It will be best if my initial 3D resolution could be 1080p. (the same as  "Preferred resolution" setting in SVPtube).
Of course, it still worked well if I picked 1080p by hand in SVPtube. (SVPtube is really easy & powerful tool)
