Topic: SVP performance low problem

When i play a 1920x1080@24 video and pushing it up to 60, why would i get a message saying my svp performance is too low(0.47x) while my cpu percentage was at 24%?

I have OpenCL enabled.

Intel Xeon X5650
Nvidia GT 430
Win 8 Pro 64-Bit
3x2 GB 1333 DDR3

- ensure that "processing threads" is set to "auto"
- try to disable OpenCL (your GPU may be too weak)

I was able to get it to play at 60 but i have to lower the SVP shader, maybe my GPU is really too weak.

1. if you're using LAV decoder switch it to software mode
2. don't try to use madVR renderer

i also have another question, what is actually the SVP performance calculated out of? sometimes my cpu is only 70% and it said that it is too low.

Thanks, I was wondering why I got so bad performance all of a sudden, forgot that I changed this when trying around.

Hi everyone, I think I might be encountering the same issue.
SVP worked just fine on my computer up until a few days ago where it would continually crash, so I uninstalled SVP and MPC-HC and reinstalled everything using the download provided on the main SVP page.

Now I'm getting this error, and I was wondering where it is I need to check to see if I'm running LAV in software mode.http://img600.imageshack.us/img600/8873/sc0p.jpg

My specs are:
AMD Athlon II X4 3.0GHz
AMD Radeon HD 6850 1 GB
4GB  DDR3 RAM

  • SVP developer

Start from reset all profiles: SVP menu - Video profiles - Reset to defaults - (wait for performance autodetect) - OK - Yes

I was wondering where it is I need to check to see if I'm running LAV in software mode
in MPC-HC while playing: menu Play - Filters - LAV Video Decoder

Software mode is named as "None" and "avcodec"
