I get svp to work with mpc-hc.

However with xmbc, when I open a bdmv file or directory in xmbc:

mpc-hc opens (I have put the xml file in the roaming directory) but then freezes and my pc is in freeze and only pc restart helps..

What am I doing wrong here?

The problem is solved now. I installed windows 8 (as update for my Win 7) and now it works!

After following the guides provided by other SVP users, if DSPlayer is not the default player you highlight the desired movie, hit 'C' for the context menu, select "play using...", and then select DSPlayer.

I got SVP working with XBMC to play local content.  But for some reason using plugins like 1Channel and Hulu doesn't use it.  It doesn't seem to even be using filters, even tho I'm using DSPlayer...is there a rule that needs to be added to get it to work?

Hulu is only for USA, and we can not test it myself.

1. Does cimena from Hulu/1Ch copy-protected?

2. What protocols it use? http? udp? or somthing else?

3. Does it use system filters?


Make sure that DSPlayer is used for hulu/1CH as default player

If hulu/1CH does not copyprotected and it use http protocols try this strings in mediasconfig.xml

    <rule protocols="http">
      <source filter="urlfilesource" />
      <splitter filter="lavf_splitter" />
      <video filter="ffdvideodec" />
      <audio filter="ffdaudiodec" />
    </rule>
   </rules>

DSPlayer does not support udp itself

Still doesn't work in those plugins.  Seems like it actually won't work with ANY plugins.  I just tried the MakeMKV Blu-ray plugin and it doesn't work there either...and that is literally converting a Blu-ray to MKV and playing on the fly.  So the output format should conform just fine...but it still doesn't work.  So it has something to do with not wanting to work on plugins.  Has anyone gotten SVP to work on a plugin?

all you need is FFDShow in filters during playing

Ok, so what I'm asking is, how do you get it to use ffdshow when playing an addon. It works fine for local media, but not for any addon.

It doesn't work for me on Hulu, 1channel, projectfreetv, YouTube. You name it.
