Microsoft Security Essentials / Windows defender was removed about 6 months ago from AV Comparative test as they failed any kind of certification since they are the worst AV in the world.
If you want to see how bad they score, look at AV Test:

Click on Home, then scroll to the end, and see how bad MSE is, you would rather have no AV than to use that crap. The first thing I do when I install Windows is to uninstall that useless AV via the Windows Defender uninstaller so it would be totally removed from my system along with its service and icon in Control Panel. The uninstaller only works on Windows 7:

And the time I wasted fixing this issue was not bad, it's just because SVP wasn't known to Emsisoft, and now that it is, I never have this issue again. It was not detected as a virus by Emsisoft's virus signatures since they also use the Bitdefender Engine which doesn't mark SVP as a Virus, but rather, it was blocked by Emsisfot's Behavioral Blocker which makes sense since it was trying to do things that are not normal, like connecting to the internet and code injection into MPC-HC, since that is how SVP works, but this is also a method which can be used by trojans/viruses (code injection) so, it had to be whitelisted
