Topic: Intel 4790K & 1080p

Hi guys,

Ive built a new PC. Z97N motherboard, 4790K (running stock) and using the integrated HD4600. I presumed i could easily run 1080p videos interpolated to 60fps (testing with Big Buck Bunny 1080p), but even the 4790K isnt able to! Previsouly i had a i7 930 (with 5770) which did roughly the same numbers as this 4790K. CPU is running at 80-100% on all 8 cores (hyperthreaded). Is this cause of the HD4600 im using or is there no CPU able to pump out 1080p@60 via SVP? Im a bit dissapointed!

SVP settings attached.

Re: Intel 4790K & 1080p

"Motion vectors grid: 6px" is not a default value.

It must be clear, that it is possible to busy any system with SVP, even up to a 12-core Intel Xeon, but it is not necessary to do so. Recommended and verified settings are saved in pre-installed profiles and a manual configuration requires additional knowledge, so a configuration "into the blue" will almost always lead to worse results and higher demands on the hardware.

Ok, i think i should use 8px then for 1080p. Thanks.
