Topic: AviSynth version check

Would it be possible in the next version to remove the AviSynth version check?
Your version causes encoding crashes for me and I encode a lot, so right now I have to keep installing different versions of AviSynth whenever I want to use SVP.
I know that your version has custom code, so offering a choice to the user to explain that would be great, like:
"Warning: Choosing not to install our custom build of AviSynth may affect your performance."

I checked 3.0.2 and it is still compulsory in the installer smile

Ok. I'll try to explain. smile

First I add You request to to-do list, but then I found that it is not necessary to be implemented.

SVP works with avisynth.dll situated in Distr\MT. SVP automatically copy it to windows\system32 folder. You need to install SVP and to replace avisynth.dll
Try this.

When I run SVP with my avisynth.dll, it doesn't let me run the program.
It just says "This computer has old Avisynth version (2.5). Version 2.5.8 is required. Install Avisynth right now?" then I click "No" because your version causes encoding crashes for me, then it says "The program completes its work, as not installed a new version of AviSynth v2.5.8", then the program closes.

This avisynth.dll has no version information.
For SVP it is avisynth 0.0.0.0 smile

We will change verification algorithm and SVP will be able to work with custom avisynth.dll

Ah I see!
The file is SET's 2.6 build, which is the only 2.6 MT build AFAIK so it is probably relatively popular smile
That was silly of him to not use version information.

I edited the version information in the dll file so now it should work properly. It's here:

Now SVP 3.0.2 works correctly with your version of avisynth.dll.

We will add warning when no avisynth version info found.
