Topic: SVP won't work on windows 8.1 (fresh install)

Hey there guys, I don't know if anyone had this issue yet but I installed SVP and it is not doing anything when I open a movie or any video.
Usually in windows 7 I would just "install and go" but seems like it doesn't work now. Anyone has a solution for this problem?

Open player and SVP-manager from one user.
Check user of player process and SVPMgr process in task manager.

I think to me it looks like you haven't added ffdshow as your preferred external filter for your player of choice...

In MediaPlayer Classic for example you need to add the external filters below under options:

ffdshow raw video filter
LAV Audio Decoder
LAV Video Decoder
LAV Splitter

and after adding them you need to set all four to PREFER.

You're welcome. Yeah people generally forget about one of the basic steps. I am not immune to such problems either, most of the time, it's the easy step being forgotten.
