Topic: SVP 3.1.7 and Avisynth+
How are you supposed to use 3.1.7 with Avisynth+? It seems all checks are still for Avisynth
Do I still need Avisynth installed? Cause otherwise I can't even install SVP core.

nah. Just use avisynth mt from set
https://www.dropbox.com/s/dckxoowjlzwku … 0150220.7z
Its most stable version (no crashes on seek).
copy dll to player folder

yeah, but this's only an installation app limitation
you can uninstall Avisynth after installing SVP and the Manager will work with Avisynth+
or just place Avisynth+ dll into video player's folder
but you'll need r1779 or later!
Chainik
or later!
wont work after "Massive binary size reduction" commit.
Am I correct that we have to choose the 32 bit version of AviSynth+? Do I only need the Avisynth.dll, cause there are more folders/files at https://cloud.pados.hu/index.php/s/0e0d … se%2Fi386.
Its pretty confusing, because there is Avisynth.dll in Plugins folder in SVP folder, in system32 folder, and others are saying i have to put it in MPC-HC folder, but this never worked for me. I would like to just work with one avisynth.dll on my PC, this seems impossible.

When i uninstall avisynth after installing the complete svp 3.1.7 package i get the following error:
You dont have a required component installed: AviSynth 2.5.
You need to install it seperately or use distributive SVP full.
So uninstalling avisynth after install is not possible.
This is confusing.
Chainik. What and where is the best Avisynth for use with 3.1.7 (direct link please), and what folder do I put it in?
mindz
So uninstalling avisynth after install is not possible.
You're right. I was pretty sure that this check was completely removed
So the correct way to use it with AVS+:
- install 2.5
- replace .dll with the one from AVS+

The one bundled with SVP 3.1.7, obviously.
But if you for some reason want to override system-wide 'avisynth.dll' you can do this by putting another avisynth.dll into video player's folder.
The one bundled with SVP 3.1.7, obviously.
Is the one bundled with SVP avisynth+? Lets assume its not avisynth+, why wouldnt you bundle avisynth+ with the package after making it compatible?
PS. The one bundled with SVP looks like its still the old 2.5.8 MT SVP version used for some time now. Is it correct?
Sorry, still confused!!
mindz
I'm think exactly what you are.
It is not obvious. Nothing is obvious with Avisynth. More forks than a restaurant I tell you.
mindz
why wouldnt you bundle avisynth+ with the package after making it compatible?
cause the one that can be defined as "partially stable" is not publicly released yet
Chainik
Ahh that explains it.
I use MPC-BE and I put it in the folder with the mpc-be.exe. There was no avisynth.dll in that folder though, there was only on in the MPC-HC in the SVP folder (which I did not want to install but it installed anyway).
How do I know it's using it? What sort of difference should I be seeing? Everything seems the same, I don't think it's using it.
EDIT: I replaced the one in SVP/resources/avisynth and GPU usage is down 1-2%, memory usage us down 20mb and CPU usage is up 4% but much more even. Should've bundled it man!!
Just for clarification I'm using the one you suggested x86 1112kb.
cookieboyeli
How do I know it's using it?
from the log:
15:49:13.689; ===== Detected playback with ffdShow. AppName: mpc-hc.exe, PID: 11180, supports 4GB RAM
15:49:13.710; used avisynth.dll: Avisynth MT, 2.5.8.6 (SVP edition) (CRC32:5ED58E27) from c:\Program Files (x86)\SVP\MPC-HC\
I don't use MPC-HC though.
I just replaced the 300kb avisynth.dll with the 1112kb version in C:\Program Files (x86)\SVP\Resources\Avisynth
EDIT:
8:58:48.505; ===== Detected playback with ffdShow. AppName: mpc-be.exe, PID: 4112, supports 4GB RAM
8:58:48.516; used avisynth.dll: Avisynth MT, 2.5.8.6 (SVP edition) (CRC32:5ED58E27) from C:\Windows\system32\
But before this it said:
8:36:09.091; ===== Detected playback with ffdShow. AppName: mpc-be.exe, PID: 3572, supports 4GB RAM
8:36:09.100; used avisynth.dll: AviSynth+ 0.1 (r1779, MT, i386) (CRC32:8FC9353F) from c:\Program Files (x86)\MPC BE\
What have I done? haha
EDIT2: Ok I reinstalled and put r1779 in my mpc-be folder. The log says it's working and the GPU usage is different. (Never mind, setting was different)
Here's a present:
40% load is windowed. NOTHING else running but a few tabs in chrome, no other variables. Not as much variation as I'd hoped actually...
cookieboyeli
Not as much variation as I'd hoped actually...
Cause you're comparing with "Avisynth 2.5.8 SVP edition"
compare it with AVS 2.6 MT and you'll get much more difference, in the memory usage at the first place.
Chainik
I thought I saw more difference before, but maybe I was wrong. I am undecided as to which to use... maybe Avisynth+
I must sleep now. I must sleep or I will die. x_x
EDIT: Ok I have slept now, the log confirms my testing, but the results don't seem right.
you'll need r1779 or later!
That version doesn't properly synchronize the audio with the video
Mystery
That version doesn't properly synchronize the audio with the video
Yeah, I thought it was strange but after you posted it, it really is.
Correction: it seems the MPC-HC 32bit audio is synchronized with video, but not MPC-HC 64bit. Is this because of Re-Clock?
I tried playing MPC-HC 64bit, it seems the performance not really much difference with MPC-HC 32bit. cmiiw
But, how to automatically activate Avisynth filter in ffdshow-x64?
I already ticked the Avisynth option in ffdshow-config, but when I play it MPC-HC 64bit, I have to enable it using tray icon.
For now, I inclined to just revert back to Avisynth 2.5.8 SVP edition
man. svp REQUIRES 32 bit player, ffdshow and so on.
man, sigh, I sorry I didn't posting it at full, I thought many here already know.
I installed avs+ for 64 bit, there's svpflow 1.1.16 which has x64 version, I installed ffdshow-64 bit, I installed lav-filter 64 bit and so on.
In short, I can play it 64-bit as fine as 32-bit as long there's svpflow x64, but the strange is that I need to enable Avisynth filter in ffd-show every time I play it with MPC-HC x64
mashingan
I can play it 64-bit as fine as 32-bit
no exactly "as fine"
ffdshow x64 for some reason doesn't correctly frees Avisynth instance after "script reloading"
at least with AVS+ x64
Anyone using SVP 3.1.7 + AVS+ + MPDN? I'm getting freezes when pausing when using this combo, weird
trandoanhung1991
I do. I had some problems with AVS+ before on Windows 7. Now with windows 10 its all working smooth.
But mpc-be + madvr(dx11) is still providing more quality and faster.
10ms average rendering frame (max without drops will be 1000 ms / 71.928 fps = around 14ms) for 720p and 12ms for 1080p. (old cheap 7850 card)
http://puu.sh/iSWf7/d3a2b09a39.jpg (cant take fullscrean shot).
AMAZING quality even for old tv shows, only aviable in 720p 1gb file
The un-synchronized audio is because of disabling buffer. After enabling it, the player playing it fine as is playing with 32-bit video player
@dlr5668
Why don't you use Image Doubling? Something like NNEDI 32 neurons.
