Topic: Wierd Video Issue when using SVP

Hello Everyone,

I am having a wierd issue with SVP free version 4 and the default Media Player Classic that comes with it. I downloaded SVP free version 3 before and had this wired issue where the video plays fine, but the video is constantly vibrating up and down like someone is shaking the camera really fast. It also has this green line that flickers at the top of the video. I ended up forgetting about it and got interested in it again when I saw that a new version had just been released. After I upgraded to version 4, using the default settings and the player that comes with it, the issue is still the same, with the video vibrating up and down and the green line flickering at the top of the picture. I have tried playing with the settings, having SVP assess my computer's performance, and trying different media files and the issue persists. Other than the symptoms described previously, the video plays perfectly smooth and would look really good if not for the vibrating in the video. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Tom

Re: Wierd Video Issue when using SVP

Well let's start with the basic things to try... make sure you test for the issue after every step and only advance to the next step if the problem still persists

1. Set the decoder in LAVfilters (the one integrated into MPC-HC) to "DXVA2 (copy-back)" and restart MPC-HC

2. Manually set the amount of threads that SVP uses to something other than "Auto"

3. Enable "D3D Fullscreen" or "use direct3d 11 for presentation" and restart MPC-HC

4. If you have an Nvidia GPU, try setting the decoder in LAVfilters (the one integrated into MPC-HC) to "Nvidia CUVID" and restart MPC-HC

5. If you have an Intel CPU, try setting the decoder in LAVfilters (the one integrated into MPC-HC) to "Intel QuickSync" and restart MPC-HC

6. Set the decoder in LAVfilters (the one integrated into MPC-HC) to "None" and restart MPC-HC

7. Disable GPU acceleration in SVP

If one of these steps solve the issue, try reverting any of the previous steps and see if it stays fixed.

If doing #7 solved it, then you might want to try running DDU and re-installing your video drivers...

Flickering green line at the top and vertical pixel shaking are issues of old Intel HD video drivers.
You need to install new HD Graphics driver from official site.
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/search … D+Graphics

Type your graphics adapter name and select proper driver for your operating system
