Topic: Need help with adjusting frame size position.

When using Frame size options, how can I adjust the blue box on the media player?  I would like to be able to adjust it up or down depending on what type of media I'm watching but can't figure it out.  Using Ctrl+8/2 on MPC-HC moves the entire image up or down, not the blue box.  Using the "Preview and fine tuning" box only adjusts the size of the frame, but I need to be able to move the frame area from the center of the video.

SVP 4 Pro on Windows 10 x64.

SVP Manager did manual cropping with equal top and bottom values.
If you need to cut non symmetrical blackbars then use Black bars detection option instead of manual crop. So you need to select 'disabled' instead of '2.40:1' at your screenshot.

Hello MAG79.  I don't have an issue with any black bars.  I use a 21:9 monitor.  I need to be able to adjust the blue boxed area up and down, without changing it's size.  Here's a screenshot of what I'm needing.  The blue box is default, the red box is what I'm wanting.  I don't know how else to explain it.

For this you have to DISABLE crop instead of selecting it to 2.4:1 and then manually tune.
Deleted Deleted Deleted Maybe I'l try explain this to devs later.

EDIT: Ooops, may bad. Looks like SVP doesn't let you to crop different parts from up/down or left/right. I had assumption that it actually does...

The problem with SVP is that manual crop tune demo isn't effected by your manual aspect rate preselection. Maybe I'l try explain this to devs later.

Manually tune via SVP or using the numpad within MPC-HC?

edit: I can use numpad 9 and stretch the image to fit screen then ctrl+2/8 to move it down,..but I'd like to set up a profile for SVP to do it for me.

Re: Need help with adjusting frame size position.

I edited my post above. I suggested that you can configure blue bar in SVP (that monitor in manager with 4 boxes in the middle of 4 frame lines) but it doesn't let you move lower line so that upper wouldn't move too.

the only question is "why?"

Re: Need help with adjusting frame size position.

The best thing you can do at this point is to not crop at all and instead, in MPC-HC, right click on the video area and select "Touch Window from Outside" and making sure "Keep Aspect Ratio" is checked.

Then from there use the pan & scan function to move the video down/move your viewing area up (you can change the keyboard key for this function in MPC-HC's options fyi).

and I'm sure you're not alone...
do whatever-you-want using the player's interactive controls, why you need SVP to do it?

Re: Need help with adjusting frame size position.

Why do I need SVP to do it?  Well the option to stretch to fit screen is there, you just can't adjust the center point within SVP which seems like something it should be able to do.  It puts a blue box on the video showing you what part of the video it will stretch, but it doesn't allow you to adjust the blue box's position which you'd think you'd be able to do. Your title says you're a developer so instead of asking me "why" and telling me to "do whatever i want" try to help me maybe? Thanks for your "help".

Re: Need help with adjusting frame size position.

These options are here for the completely different reasons - to remove black bars (which affects interpolation quality) and to reduce CPU load in some cases
Nothing more, nothing less

I'm not even sure I want to continue this conversation with you...
