Topic: SVP 3.1.7a Smooth Playback Script Error

Today I tried to watch some videos and was met with a strange error. It's even stranger because I haven't changed anything on my computer, and it was working fine yesterday. I searched around google, as well as this forum, and found some users having the same issue as me, however they would either solve it with a step that didn't work for me, or the thread stopped getting responses.
This is the error I'm getting.

Error preparing smooth playback! Script error:
C:\Program Files (x86)\SVP\SVPMgr.wsf(15, 2) WScript.CreateObject: Could not create object named "Scripting.FileSystemObject".

C:\Program Files (x86)\SVP\SVPMgr.wsf(30, 2) Microsoft JScript runtime error: Object doesn't support this property or method

Along the top of MPC-HC it reads: Import: Couldn't open "C:\Users\*username*\AppData\Roaming\SVP3.1\AVS\ffdshow.avs"(ffdshow_filter_avisynth_script, line 4)
Here are the steps I've taken to try and resolve this issue, with no success.
-Reinstall SVP 3.1.7a
-Reinstall Avisynth
-replace avisynth.dll in sysWOW64 folder
-Followed steps of Method 2 found here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/949140
All of the .dlls worked until the last 2. wshext.dll, wshom.ocx.
These gave me the error-

The module "c:\windows\syswow64\wshext.dll" was
loaded but the call to DLLRegisterServer failed with
error code 0x80040201
For more information about this problem, search
online using the error code as a search term.

Searching this error pretty much sent me in a circle. Following this https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/rajake … x80040201/, and registering the the dll worked fine, but the wshext.dll and wshom.ocx still failed to register.
-From here I tried reindexing windows
-Running Windows Fix It
-Running a command that scanned for corrupted system files, which it found none.
-Adding the AppData folder to exclusions in Avast AV
-Completely turning off my AV

So my issue is pretty much post for post found here: http://www.svp-team.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=2862
However, I dont have any McAfee products, or this TRON script, and thus the thread ended. So I feel I've no other options, but to make my own thread and hopefully get this fixed.
Thank you. I'll put the recent log below.

Re: SVP 3.1.7a Smooth Playback Script Error

Try this advice from FAQ: Windows Script Host error...

cd %windir%\syswow64
regsvr32 jscript.dll

Re: SVP 3.1.7a Smooth Playback Script Error

I've done that multiple times. It does register successfully, however SVP still gives me the script error, and the wshext, and wshom files still fail to register.  So it just kinda leads me in a circle.
Maybe this might shed some light on the issue. On a hunch, I installed SVP 4 Free to see if it played. I had to uninstall 3.1.7 because it's avisynth was conflicting with SVP 4 even though I uninstalled avisynth 2.5. After I uninstalled SVP 3.1.7, SVP 4 worked and played smooth playback perfectly fine. I was mostly wanting to stay on 3.1.7 because it had profile customization, but on its own 4 seems to mask the artifacts really well. I would still like to fix this issue though.

Re: SVP 3.1.7a Smooth Playback Script Error

SVP 4 works cause it doesn't use system's JavaScript engine.

I would still like to fix this issue though

It is somehow disabled (or corrupted) Windows script (Java script). You need to enable it (or to repair it).
So. Start from advices in the topic: SVP 3.1.7 Script error

Can you reinstall your windows? It is the only 100% guarantee way.
