Topic: please help with 1080pfull hd playback

forgive english and literacy i'm a south east asian troll.

im running the free svp version 3

here's my svp mark test results i ran 2 tests i dontt know what to click on that svpmark progam.  but i have that avisynth installed already so i just toggled that blu ray hd playback benchmark on the additional test options on the 2nd test

your wonderful software(svp
i find it amazing on 720 (of course with the lowest setting but i can at least notice the difference without frame interpolation still
miles away far from your normal/average/perfect settings for 720p frame interpolation

because whenever i try to play 1080p files it says

svp performance is too low

svp index = 0.89x
and cpu load 9x or something then it lags so hard

i want to buyyour full software but i have shit pc
please tell me what hardware should i upgrade into to play fullhd1080 bluray files particlularly anime perfectly with it with the highest setting(sorry for being asshole ambitious)

thank you

Re: please help with 1080pfull hd playback

Used 2500k / Q6600 + decent cooler will be enough for 1080p. Or buy new 4 cores i5 / 6 cores AMD CPU + MB.

DISCLAIMER: The PC hardware mentioned are NOT actual product recommendations as I don't actually know for absolute fact what sort of hardware is necessary; I'm largely just extrapolating from my own experience with a Pentium G3268 and Core i5-520m.

He said "highest setting"

For the absolute highest settings, you would actually need a very beastly PC, especially with 6 px when combined with 6x @ 144Hz + Uniform + Complicated + Half pixel + Global refinement; you may need something like an Intel Skylake-E/AMD Zen CPU with 8 cores + SMT and a decently powerful GPU (even an Rx 460 may be enough).

A more realistic target would be 4x @ 96Hz and 12 px, though Uniform + Complicated + Half pixel + Global refinement isn't that unrealistic; you could possibly manage that with a 4 core Skylake/Zen even without SMT and using only the integrated graphics.

Alternatively you could target half-way between the two where you use 4x @ 96Hz but use 8 px; that'd probably require a Skylake/Zen CPU with 4-6 cores and possibly SMT which is something much more within reach of most people unless money is no object to you.

(I've included mentions of AMD's Zen because you haven't made it clear if you want a new PC now or if you're just in the planning stages; if the latter then AMD's Zen could very well be available by then)

Your hardware should be more capable then that, even with 10bit AVC (which performs similarly to YouTube's VP9 encodes).  Make sure GPU acceleration is enabled and also try running your monitor at 48Hz and only using x2 interpolation.  The key settings to use would be 16 px + Two pixels; from there you should be able to use Uniform and maybe even Complicated (if it's too slow, then use Sharp instead for anime content).  If you still have CPU headroom you could possibly even use One pixel.

See this thread for info on running your display at 48Hz: http://www.svp-team.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=3465
