Suddenly SVP does not work anymore

Yesterday I wanted to watch a movie and for some reason SVP didn't work properly anymore. It kept freezing the frame from time to time, to continue after half a second.

I reinstalled the entire thing and after a couple of restarts (computer) I got it working again. Now, the next day, I want to watch another movie and it doesn't work anymore. Now, it works for about 2 seconds after which it just freezes the frame and plays the audio for about 10 sec, then the frame without the audio for 10 seconds and alternates between them. I've tried to do the same thing as yesterday to no avail.

Anyone know how I messed this up?

Also, I didn't install anything in the last week.
