Topic: GPU acceleration puts no load on GPU

I can select my GPU just fine but the load on the gpu when its on or off is only 10-12% when mpv and MPC is playing there is no change in GPU usage with GPU acceleration on or off

7600k 4.6ghz
144hz  (3x or to screen what i usually, most of the time svp is used on 24fps input)
gtx 1070

also my cpu usage is like double what it normally is when i am streaming it  and not already on my pc  (70-80% when its noramlly like 20-40% depending on the intal frame rate ie-24-60fps, all at 1080p) just in case anyone knows why that is

Re: GPU acceleration puts no load on GPU

It is normal if GPU load not 100%. You have powerful GPU (GTX 1070), so 10-12% load is enough to SVP work.

High CPU usage when streaming tells about you are using CPU for reencoding video (software), not GPU.
You can select another encoder in SVP menu: Streaming (BETA) - Encoder type

Re: GPU acceleration puts no load on GPU

oops when i said streaming i meant streaming from YouTube with svptube. i forgot that the streaming got added(set to nvenc h.264). I realize that gpu acceleration won't push the 1070 that hard its just that no matter the setting(on or off) the load doesn't change its always 10%-12% and i would assume that having it on would put more load on the gpu. the gpu load is the same when playing a file my PC but it barely hits my cpu unlike when i use SVPtube in both MPC and MPV

Re: GPU acceleration puts no load on GPU

GPU has many blocks. HW acceleration of decoding and encoding is working not at 3D blocks. If you want to see it look to GPU video engine load wink

Re: GPU acceleration puts no load on GPU

3D and video decode are the only ones that have any load on them when i am playing back a video and there is no change on either of them, 24% and 7% respectively, no matter GPU acceleration setting
