Topic: Frame doubling and lag - 4k60 source HEVC (x265) .ts

Is there any work-around here? When these files come up it will double frames so everything is slow-motion (not sound) and then eventually starts stuttering and hangs. Now... it is only happening with 4k 60fps .ts files using HEVC, not with .mkv or .mp4 or any other extension. Since all of these files are 2160p I tried making a null profile with a rule for over 2150 height, which works to disable frame interpolation for other content (i.e. the 4k60 content that works just fine with svp), but the .ts HEVC doesnt trigger it.

Seems like svp cant see the resolution or frame-rate for 4k60 .ts files at all.

Using MPC-HC with madVR.

Any ideas?

This is what I get.

SVP recognizes the 60fps with the MKV but not with the TS

noticed just now that it does the slow-mo thing even with SVP not even running - so long as the ffdshowraw filter is active it will do it

I started having the same problem yesterday after I got a new 120 Hz display. On my old 165 Hz display it would output 60 fps videos as is, but on my 120 Hz display it stutters non-stop.

first of all - don't play 4K in a 32-bit MPC-HC

I can run 4k videos with 32bit MPC-HC running SVP with no problems, so long as they arent these .ts files. I downgraded to 32bit when I started using your product.... which only works with 32bit.

The problem here seems to be the raw filter, as it does it with these files even with svp disabled or not even open

It's not stuttering it's like really lagged-out and funky

only with .ts files encoded with HEVC

This's not true. Again, switch to 64-bit MPC-HC.

Re: Frame doubling and lag - 4k60 source HEVC (x265) .ts

MPC-HC x64 works great. I am using it on par with mpv

wait say what now?

when I initially installed, everything I read said it had to be 32bit and when I initially tried to use svp with 64bit MPC-HC I coulldt get the raw filter to even show up in my settings, which is what led me to the info saying 32 bit only.

Re: Frame doubling and lag - 4k60 source HEVC (x265) .ts

So... I just uninstalled/reinstalled both mpc-hc and svp and got it running on mpc-hc x64

Raw filter is now showing for some reason, and after getting everything setup properly problem is resolved.

Is very strange though.... when I initially installed I first uninstalled my mpc-hc and then selected the 64bit options in the dialogues, and couldn't get the raw filter even to display. So I looked online at the available resources, which were obviously out of date, and saw that only 32bit was supported. No idea why it all worked well this time.
