I've noticed that I do not have smooth playback of transcoded mkv file and found in MediaInfo that FPS is 59,940 BUT: Variable (!):
I'm using NVENC deafult settings:
Why do you think this is the problem?
madVR is showing dropped/repeated frames during when playing on 59,940 TV, I thought it should be constant...
it is actually constant (if the source was constant), I suppose, but with a "variable" flag set by ffmpeg somewhere

more likely the problem is not in the file
can you play smoothly some other 60 fps FullHD video?
