SVP made by Chuck Norris too wink

Re: 24p vs 48p(FFdshow framerate double) vs 60p(SVP)

Here is the best smooth of SVP. It is 60p, 23-th shader. cool

Much better than 60p from edison. It is free from judder now. smile

Settings of SVP: 23 shader + qpel + 0.25 block overlapping + no artifacts suppression.

Re: 24p vs 48p(FFdshow framerate double) vs 60p(SVP)

Those settings are to much for my phenom X6 3.3 Ghz.

My nvidia card is only loaded 35 % with Lav Cuvid.

I understand that there is no way to transfer more load to gpu at present.

Are there any future possibilities or plans in development?

Re: 24p vs 48p(FFdshow framerate double) vs 60p(SVP)

Core i7 920 @2,67 Ghz is enough. CPU load 55%.
You can change qpel to hpel and reduce radius from 2 to 1 px.

We are still searching ways to reduce CPU load...
May be it will be transfer of load to GPU, bit it is not in our nearest plans. wink

Re: 24p vs 48p(FFdshow framerate double) vs 60p(SVP)

Thanks for your reply MAG79.
I wonder if you would know what the best nvidia gpu to use with svp without being a waste of money.

Hi thanks so much! now i finally get it to work without the judder:D maybe some times it get shown but its nearly noticeble,

but i get som error about c++ message when i try to play 1080p24fps to 60fps
every other resolutions work fine...

Re: 24p vs 48p(FFdshow framerate double) vs 60p(SVP)

Can you write full error message about c++?
We needs more info about your CPU and SVP settings. You can get it from SVP: show - additional information.

Re: 24p vs 48p(FFdshow framerate double) vs 60p(SVP)

My pc spec:
Intel i7 860 2.8
HD radeon 5870

The runtime error message
"Program:....Files\K-Lite Codek Pack\Media Player Classic\mpc-hc.exe

This aplication has requested runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact the application`s supporter team for more information."

I uninstalled k-lite codek pack but downloaded the new version of mpc hc but maybe i got it wrong uninstalling it?
the settings i put in svp was the ones that MAG79 sugested for smooth playback without any artifacts or blur...

I don't understand.
It is not c++ error message.
I can't see additional information.

Then what is it that causing the problem? the mpc is installed in a k-lite map but it has no codek installed...weird
every time i play 1080p movies it just shut down

with vlc player and windows media player it works and even with mpc but with svp turned off.

it works with any other resolution but not 1080p when trying to get 60fps.
the svp package that has splitter and reckolck and mpc should i use it instead? cuz i have the newest version of mpc 1.5.3.3522 weird.. Was checking out the new version of mpc home site and the latest is 1.5.2.3456im gonna try and install it and se if it works

Please give as detailed info: SVP tray menu - show - additional information. The problem there somewhere.

Did you try this?

Re: 24p vs 48p(FFdshow framerate double) vs 60p(SVP)

VLC is NOT a Directshow based player, and WMP does not use ffdshow in default setting .

try to switch WMP to directshow with Win7 Direct Show Filter Tweaker and Codec Tweak Tool
see it on codecguide.com

Re: 24p vs 48p(FFdshow framerate double) vs 60p(SVP)

Hi, I've used the same settings than MAG79, and on the 'origin' clip given on the first post, mpc-hc crash : i go to 100% CPU. But I'm using an i5 2500K, should be enough , i don't understand - changing with lower settings, it works, but i'd like to know how I go to 100% were an i7 920 goes only to 55%.
I use madVR, ffdshow audio, LAVCuvid, on a 9600 GT ans Seven 32 bit, with 3Go RAM

i think the problem lies in qpxl i changed it to full and halv pxl and it worked with every setting els i put, so my problem solved:D but was wondering sometimes the audio is a bit before like one sec before the image, my i7 860 is running on 2.8 ghz i thought maybe OC it to 3.4, to take effect of better quality on svp management and the sound issue? i havent used reclock will it make any difference?
Some times i still se some bluriness but there nothing to do about it?
Thanks for your help:)

If your video is shown slower than sound it is mean that your processor is not powerful enough for this profile settings. See SVP-index in the performance graphs window.

I use GPU-acceleration, CoreAVC CUDA and EVR Sync.

Thank you for the graph tip:)
When i try to play with either evr custum pres or evr sync i do not get smooth playback. Some setting that is wrong? i have a HD 5870

There are some magic in three DS-components interaction: splitter, decoder and renderer. Decoder LAVCuvid for example is "not like" some splitters and renderers.
You have to change one-by-one each of these DS-filters and see result on your monitor with Tearing test (by menu SVP or by Ctrl-Shift-T) and smoothness on to screen refresh rate.
You should see line moving on screen. Its movement must be smooth and judder/jerky free.
