Topic: Problem with SVPCast

None of my devices can access the web UI page.
It opens on my host machine but doesn't on any other devices.

The host machine and other devices are on the same wifi network. All are on the 5ghz connection.
I even allowed SVP4 Pro through firewall and I don't have any other firewalls or antivirus programs.
The other devices just say the request timed out.
I even tried directly connecting my device to my desktop by activating mobile hotspot on my desktop and connecting through that.

Please help.

Re: Problem with SVPCast

And you're trying to open it via what URL exactly?
I mean I don't see your public IP in the "dynamic dns" list on the server side, which means https://www.svp-team.com/cast won't work.
Do you see message like this - 'Streaming: Web UI listening on http://192.168.3.42:9900' - in the log?

Re: Problem with SVPCast

I've tried both https://www.svp-team.com/cast and the ip and port address.
How do I add my public ip to the dynamic dns?

it's on by default - cast.server.ddns = true in All settings

Re: Problem with SVPCast

I do see the streaming in the log.

Also, my cast.server.ddns is on.

I actually found out yesterday the program is using the wrong IP when using web UI.
It works on the proper IP address.
Is there a way to manually change the IP address web ui links redirect to?
ie. https://www.svp-team.com/cast and https://www.svp-team.com/cast/svp.m3u8

Re: Problem with SVPCast

nope. it's using the first appropriate ip
if you have several network interfaces connected to different LANs then you may not be in luck

if you show the list of all the network interfaces you have with their names and ip addresses I could figure out a solution

Re: Problem with SVPCast

I have found a workaround.

It was using my ethernet adapter ip address instead of the needed wifi 2 ip address.
I just disabled the ethernet adapter in windows control panel.

Re: Problem with SVPCast

do you mean "Ethernet 7" / VirtualBox adapter?
then there's a better workaround - rename it to the default name which is "VirtualBox Host-Only Network", and SVPcast will just ignore it

Re: Problem with SVPCast

Works great! I changed it to "VirtualBox Host-Only" because Windows kept telling me "VirtualBox Host-Only Network" was taken but SVP still ignores it.

Also, is there a way to stream HDR content?
I am streaming to my Galaxy Tab s7 Plus and it supports HDR playback but the colors are washed out when playing via SVPCast.
